**Description**

A.T. Still University's School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA) is seeking full-time exempt Osteopathic Principles & Practice (OPP) Faculty at the Assistant or Associate level on the Mesa, Arizona campus.

**Duties & Responsibilities:**

This OPP faculty member provides high quality education in Osteopathic Principles and Practice and ATSU-SOMA’s integrated curriculum including anatomy, medical skills, and case-based inquiry small group sessions.

+ **Instruction:** a. Work collaboratively with the OPP team, Dean, Associate/Assistant Deans, Course Directors, faculty, and staff to support ATSU-SOMA’s self-directed small group integrative curricular model.b. Provide OPP didactics and table training.c. Assist with developing Y1 and Y2 OPP courses.d. Assist with creating and administering OPP Y1 and Y2 practical and written examinations.e. Monitor mandatory attendance events and alert the course director(s) of unplanned student absences.f. Mentor OPP Fellows in education, scholarly activities, and clinical skills.g. Support the Osteopathic Medicine Center Arizona functions of patient care, interprofessional education/practice, clinical instruction in OMT.h. Assist with other duties and functions as needed/assigned by the OPP Chair.

+ **Accreditation:** a. Promote and preserve the mission and vision of ATSU-SOMA.b. Participate in and support committee meetings as assigned.

+ **Service to the ATSU and ATSU-SOMA** a. Participate in designated institutional activities.b. Serve on ATSU and SOMA committeesc. Support OPP department in its role of achieving ATSU’s strategic plan as well as ATSU-SOMA’s strategic plan

+ **Scholarly Activities:** a. Search and apply for grant funding to support new initiatives and research related to OPP.b. Co-investigate and participate in research activities as requested.c. Engage in scholarly activities to disseminate OPP curricular innovations and research, ideally through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at local, state, national, and international levels.

+ **General:**

a. Effectively communicate and interact with students, staff, faculty, and leadership

b. Act as a departmental representative with students, staff, leadership, and visitors in a professional, friendly manner.

c. Maintain FERPA confidentiality and security of student data in accordance with applicable law and Institutional Policies and Procedures.

d. May include Osteopathic patient care and/or supervision of OPP fellows in the ATSU Osteopathic Medicine Center Arizona.

e. Programs or Services: As assigned within the OPP Department.

f. Faculty member will contribute to the supervision of OPP Fellows. This may include oversight of teaching responsibilities, practical and written examinations, clinical duties, and scholarly activities.

**Education & Experience:**

+ D.O. degree with completion of a neuromusculoskeletal residency program, board eligible or board certified in Osteopathic Manipulative Med, or equivalent level of experience and post-graduate training.

+ Must have knowledge and understanding of OPP/OMM exam procedures.

+ Must be familiar with NBOME item writing.

+ Meet appropriate deadlines for didactic, labs, and other assignment.

+ License to practice medicine in Arizona.

+ Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

+ Needs one to two years of proficiency in osteopathic manipulative medicine.

+ Skill set: Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.

+ Maintain an established work schedule.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Barrow Aneurysm and AVM Research Center is seeking a research associate professor with experience in preclinical and clinical research of intracranial aneurysms and related conditions. The candidate must have four years or more of research experience in the field of intracranial aneurysm research. In addition the candidate must have experience managing a research lab as a principal investigator or research director. The candidate is expected to have a track record of obtaining extramural research funds. The candidate must be able to conduct microsurgeries and various molecular biological assays independently.

**Qualifications**

Four (4) years of experience following the Ph.D. M.D. or D.SC. degree in a field related to current area of research required. Beyond minimum required experience writing grant applications for support of own work and supervising more junior trainees preferred. Ability to conceive new/innovative ideas. A.T. Still University 's Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) is seeking applications for a non-exempt adjunct assistant professor, Audiology. The adjunct assistant professor will be responsible for organizing, supervising, coordinating, and evaluating assigned instructional components of the curricula. In addition, the adjunct assistant professor is responsible for coordinating remedial and tutorial activities in instructional areas. Adjunct faculty will participate in faculty development training sessions and interactions with departmental committees when appropriate and assigned by the chair.

Must have knowledge and background to teach in the selected area of the audiology curriculum. Experience may be in an area other than audiology if appropriate for the topic to be taught.

A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) invites applications for an exempt Assistant Professor, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery on the Mesa, Arizona campus. This position will conduct teaching, patient care, scholarly and service activities in support of the mission, goals and objectives of the School and University with primary responsibility to facilitate the students’ preclinical and clinical experience in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from foundational knowledge and clinical skills to demonstrating competency in patient-centered care that integrates biomedical, behavioral and clinical sciences.

**Major Job Duties:**

+ General – promote an atmosphere of respect, collegiality, commitment to diversity and social justice, and humanistic learning environment.

+ General – conduct teaching, scholarship, service and patient care in support of the mission and goals of ASDOH and ATSU.

+ Teaching – preclinical and clinical supervision as an Oral Surgeon with direct hands on in the Simulation Lab and ASDOH clinics; effectively carry out lecture, seminar, preclinical and clinical assignments as assigned, with a focus on Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

**Job Responsibilities:**

1. PreClinical and Clinical Supervision: Provide direct hands on supervision of predoctoral dental students in simulation and patient care activities within the scope of general dentistry with a focus on oral & maxillofacial surgery; provide clinical supervision of ASDOH residents as assigned.

2. Oversee the development, implementation, revision and assessment of curriculum as assigned, integrating oral & maxillofacial surgery with other predoctoral curriculum, including behavioral, biomedical and clinical sciences.

3. Documentation: Complete documentation on student performance/progress towards competency; review and approve EHR documentation in clinic and simulation lab.

4. Coordinate with responsible Administrators & Asst/Assoc Deans in Clinic and Simulation Lab to establish protocols related to curriculum responsibility areas; enforce clinic policy including infection control, QI, risk management, recordkeeping, etc & assure safety. Support Director of Clinic Operations in the supervision and direction of clinic support staff.

5. Provide direct hands on patient care in ASDOH Clinics that supports community service, efficient clinic operations, student/resident education, or when in the best interest of the patient (e.g: guiding, demonstration and completion of oral surgical procedures in support of students, residents and faculty).

6. Effectively carry out lecture, seminar and clinical assignments and responsibilities as assigned, including appropriate student assessment and documentation.

7. Provide faculty development, training, and calibration related to curricular content.

8. Other responsibilities as assigned.

**Position Requirements and Preferences:**

+ **Education** : Completion of an advanced education program in OMFS from an institution accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA); Board Eligible / Board Certified in OMFS.

+ **Experience** : At least five years’ experience in clinical oral surgery practice (time in advanced graduate training in oral surgeon may be included).

+ **Preferences** : Eligibility for dental licensure in Arizona; DDS or DMD from a CODA accredited program; experience in academics, clinical research and private clinical practice.

+ Excellent communication, problem solving, crisis management and organizational skills, high emotional intelligence, tact and diplomacy.

+ Must be able to be self-directed and take the initiative.

+ Must be highly skilled in clinical oral surgery; willing and able to act as a “hands-on” faculty instructor (e.g.; clinic demonstration, direct student observation of clinical activity).

This position will create and provide osteopathic medical student years I-IV educational content that integrates foundational, clinical, and osteopathic sciences in a variety of online and live presentations, which includes podcasts, small group case-based facilitation, and clinical laboratory sessions integrating osteopathic principles and practice, medical skills, and ultrasound.

**Duties & Responsibilities:**

+ Faculty will contribute to ATSU-SOMA in the areas of educating students in years 1-4, scholarly activity, diversity, equity and inclusion, and service to the University and community. Faculty will be assessed annually on the basis of educational effectiveness, professionalism, adaptability, commitment, dependability, and innovation/vision.
