    The Instructor Supervisor is responsible for supervising educational staff providing educational services to inmates/residents in a correctional facility. They assist in maintaining student enrollment in the Education Department. They will also provide for adequate staffing and teach as necessary.

    + Supervise education staff in the performance of their duties and evaluates as prescribed by facility and company policy.

    + Direct staff in performing their duties consistent with policy and procedure to ensure a safe, secure and effective educational program. Enforce standards of classroom environment and behavior.

    + Assist in designing, implementing and/or evaluating curriculum and programs of study that meet the needs, interests and abilities of inmates/students for educational programs.

    + Supervise educational programs and interacts with inmates daily to encourage inmates/students' development plans and maintain orderly operations.

    + Assist in developing staff educational programs to ensure compliance with state, facility or partner certification and training requirements.

    + Verify that department staff maintain appropriate licensure, if applicable.

    **Qualifications:**

    + Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree is required.

    + Three years of experience in a full-time professional education position is required.

    + One year of education administration or supervisory work experience preferred.

    + A teaching licensure is preferred.

    + Must possess or be eligible for certification, license or other credentials if required by contract and/or state of employment.

    + Continued employment in this position will be contingent upon obtaining and/or maintaining required agency credentials.

    + Experience in Microsoft Office or other similar software applications is required.

    + A valid driver's license is required.

    + Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
