    **Your Role and Responsibilities**

    • Work with the team for the enhancements, maintenance and operations of various complex CICS Socket interfaces, Critical Real-time and batch legacy applications that process millions of various transactions/claims submitted by the healthcare providers for services to the medical recipients.

    • Develop, maintain and enhance the APIs (Application Program Interface) in the process to modernize and ease the consumption of the existing legacy system transactions that are executed on Mainframe subsystems by using the IBM zOS Connect Enterprise Edition, zOS API tool kit & Editor. Deploy and securely expose the APIs using the IBM zOS API connect.

    • Develop, install, maintain and enhance the EDI transformation subsystem built using IBM Transformation extender (ITX), IBM Integration Bus (IIB), DB2, Java Ant and WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition (WMQFTE) on zLinux system which is used to process the healthcare service transaction/Claims submitted in EDI format. Ensure the translation subsystem performs check on EDI Standards and HIPPA compliance checks, transformation/mapping to and from the EDI data format to CA-MMIS application specific format, performs error rejection and completes acknowledgement processing.

    • Develop, install, maintain and enhance the Jobs to process the file transfers between the various applications that are both internal and external to CA-MMIS by using the Metastorm Integration Manager File Transfer Facility (FTF), FTP Secured (FTPS), WMQFTE and Secured File Transfer protocol (SFTP).

    • Gather business requirements by attending the client meetings, understand the applicability and scope of changes requested, collaborate with the development team, architects and cross functional teams to understand complex business requirements and associate them to the required system changes and impact analysis.

    As an adjunct faculty member, you’ll provide program instruction incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline.     Course Description:

    + This course provides a foundation for programming and problem solving using computer programming, as well as an introduction to the academic discipline of IT. Topics include variables, expressions, functions, control structures, and pervasive IT themes: IT history, organizational issues, and relationship of IT to other computing disciplines. The course prepares students for advanced concepts and techniques in programming and information technology, including object-oriented design, data structures, computer systems, and networks. The laboratory reinforces and expands learning of principles introduced in the lecture. Hands-on activities focus on writing code that implements concepts discussed in lecture and on gaining initial exposure to common operating systems, enterprise architectures, and tools commonly used by IT professionals. Prerequisite: MAT-154 or MAT-261.

    Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Other main responsibilities include the following:

    Grand Canyon University’s Online Instruction department is seeking an Online Full Time Faculty for Introduction to Computer Science and Information Technology. The Online Full Time Faculty develops and provides quality instruction which advances in specific disciplines associated with the individuals teaching assignment. This position will be located at our Phoenix location and work the hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.

    Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is an educational service company that provides an array of support services in the post-secondary education sector. GCE designs and develops educational programs for GCU and other traditional campus institutions, as well as online partner institutions at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.

    Grand Canyon Education is seeking a Level-Two Technical Support Specialist. This position provides telephone, e-mail, live chat and social media support to GCU faculty as well as handling escalated customer situations. This role must possess solid understanding of advanced troubleshooting skills, problem identification and analysis, ability to eliminate variables and develop effective problem resolution. Team members are required to achieve performance targets as outlined in the department’s operating guidelines.

    Responsibilities:

    + Specializes in Faculty Technical Support Calls, chats, emails, and social media.

    + Assists Faculty with basic and advanced troubleshooting, ongoing issues, and provides guidance on classroom technology setup.

    + Handles escalated and overflow calls for the department.

    + Handles escalated issues and conducts advanced troubleshooting to effectively resolve problems; while at the same time handling initial calls as work volume demands.

    + Handles escalated issues related to browser troubleshooting in relation to supported applications.

    + Follows through and communicates with the user while working the problem to ensure successful and timely completion of the problem.

    + Works with team members and other GCU departments on behalf of the customer to resolve issues;

    + Evaluates case documentation and call monitoring according to standards of quality assurance; provides detailed case notes according to quality and procedural standards.

    + Consistently meets minimum Quality Assurance expectations.

    + Consistently meets first contact resolution metrics.

    + Provides walk in support, answers calls, web issues, and live chats and provides problem resolution for training for University Supported Applications.

    + Actively participates and supports process improvement initiatives and goals.

    + Ability to work alternate shift hours as assigned and needed.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    + A minimum of two years’ work experience in a call center/help desk environment.

    + Must have a customer-focus, service orientation and professional and courteous manner.

    + Strong verbal and written communications skills with a customer-service focus and the ability to remain productive, professional, and positive under all circumstances.
