    Job Overview

    The incumbent will lead a technical team responsible for system & whole product testing, producing design suggestions, subsequent integration and test of new technologies, products, or processes to be incorporated on future state of the art mining trucks.

    Providing technical judgements and rationale to the relevant parties on current Product Support issues, Juhins, New Model Development, Cost Reduction exercises, and product Improvement Programs.

    Scope

    KAC's Mining Division sells in excess of $500 M of equipment (new and used, in 23 models) and replacement parts annually, including locally manufactured and imported products from Japan and Germany for the North America market, and USA manufactured products (electric and mechanical trucks) for the world market.

    The value of the products marketed and sold by the Mining Division ranges from +/- $0.10 M to +4.00 M, and such products are sold through bids frequently in groups of up to 20 - 25 machines, with frequent tenders over $20 M; invariably such tenders include long term (5-yrs to life-of-machine) customer support agreements, each having the potential to create liabilities for the Company in excess of $30 to $40 M.

    Key Job Responsibilities


    * Design and execute complex on-vehicle test programs by developing and implementing comprehensive test plans in order to accurately quantify product performance and durability, make product improvement recommendations, and provide cost effective suggestions to product reliability issues.
    * Monitor and review testing of others and offer technical guidance as necessary.
    * Oversee the preparation and completion of Quality Confirmation Check Sheets to ensure that customer requirements are met and targets achieved.
    * Work with project leaders in a timely manner to assist in developing project plans and schedules which support the overall project schedule by identifying tasks and responsibilities, and guide, direct and monitor individuals as necessary.
    * Provides expert technical advice and recommendations; may support multiple business units or divisions. Leads major Testing and technical project reviews. Advises on regulatory and intellectual property concerns. Assist both USTC2, and other departments in the resolution of serious product problems within the 90-day target period. Determine root causes and develop countermeasures within Quality, Cost and Delivery schedules.
    * Promote continuous improvements of existing products, testing processes, equipment and methodologies. Measure performance, analyze data and utilize PDCA cycles to improve all aspects of development. Works with the Design Group to ensure that past failures are not incorporated into new designs. Develops and maintain state-of-the-art knowledge about mining trucks and allied equipment. Understand competitive equipment features, performance, cost of operation and overhaul life, etc. Recommend improvements in mining truck features and functions.
    * Maintains advanced level of professional and testing technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, benchmarking best practices, and/or participating in professional associations.
    * Acts as consultant to senior management on technical matters. Identifies mentoring and development needs; serves as a mentor for other employees. May serve as division or functional specialist. Establish criteria for the development, operation, and maintenance of mining trucks.

    Qualifications/Requirements


    * Incumbent is to have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering field with at least 8 years of experience in the design and testing of mining trucks or similar mobile equipment.
    * Incumbent must have a background in development processes, experience in technology integration, evaluation in a laboratory and field environment, and have a demonstrated ability to lead and perform system development activities from inception to production.
    * Knowledge of structural, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical design of fixtures, machines, and control systems.

    Kforce's client, a growing company in the Phoenix, AZ area is seeking a Software Cloud Solutions Architect. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search assignment.Summary:The chosen candidate for this role will work collaboratively with the architecture team to define standards & best practices and to deliver results through effective knowledge sharing, design, and development engagements with our development teams. You will lead development teams to understanding current and emerging technology concerns across the industry.Responsibilities:

    * Bring -big picture- thinking and vision and work with others to design and develop next phase of applications and initiatives to meet fast growing business demands

    * Candidate will have started as a developer and transitioned into an architect role

    * Create product and technology designs to help determine future state architectural vision and modernization efforts to meet business goals and growth projections

    * Provide architectural guidance to teams in an effort to build scalable and maintainable solutions, adhere to a technology roadmap, and minimize technical debt

    * Participates in product development activities such as architecture, design, prototyping, implementation and review

    * Help lead a transformation of existing products through a scalable cloud native transformation

    * Work with peers to build designs supporting accelerated paths for new products to market

    * Support business and development process using Lean Architecture and Agile methodologies

    * Client works in a .NET C#, microservices, cloud native, API, Azure technology stack

    * Aid product teams in design reviews to ensure the architecture is scalable and consistent with overall architectural vision

    * Comfortable in leading and empowering development teams with understanding of DevOps automation and Continuous Integration

    * B.S. in Science/Engineering/Mathematics or equivalent experience

    * 6-10 years of professional software development experience

    * Software Architect with Cloud experience (AWS, Azure or other Cloud background)

    * Prefers someone that was a previous developer and transitioned into an architect role

    * 3 years of architectural experience designing and integration large scale applications

    * Exemplary software system architecture and design skills

    * Experience with containerization and designing cloud platforms

    * Experience in design of service-oriented architectures including microservices and self-contained systems

    * The ability to work in a collaborative and fast past agile environment to evangelize best practices and clean architectures

    * Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices such as sold and other design principles

    * Experience in system decomposition practices is preferred

    * Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences

    * Familiarity with technology compliance standards such as Soc-2, PCI, OWASP is a plus
