    About the Position: Serve as the civilian deputy to the Director, Data Science Directorate (DSD), United

    States Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM). Serve as a subject matter expert and consultant in all areas of data analytics, machine

    learning, and artificial intelligence as applied to DoDIN-A Operations and Defense, and

    business operations to senior leaders of the command and other government agencies.


    Direct, analyze, review, coordinate, and integrate the actions necessary to implement the data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence programs within the Army's Enterprise Information Environment Mission Area (EIEMA).

    Lead the analytical study efforts for teams of analysts engaged in data analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence and business transformation analyses of DoD and Army Enterprise Information Systems initiatives.

    Provide leadership and the analytical study direction to Operations Research Analysts and Computer Scientists/Engineers who are organized into study teams.

    Technically and administratively supervise a team of Field Grade military and civilian personnel.

    Assign work to employees based on selective considerations of such factors as the difficulty and requirements of assignments, availability, capability, and special qualifications of employees, and workload.

    Apply the rigors of the operations research and data science disciplines to manpower and personnel analysis, service performance analysis, network analysis, monitoring, modeling, simulation, and optimization.

    Develop and issue written instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure compliance.

    Represent the command on a variety of liaison, advisory, and consulting assignments with key technical and management personnel.
