    This position is for the Senior Advanced Project Engineer within the Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) COE. The CNS team is a large global team based out of Deer Valley Arizona with design teams in Minneapolis Minnesota, Bangalore India, Hyderabad India, Bruno Czech Republic, and Beijing China. The CNS team designs, builds, and maintains some of the worlds most valued safety systems within the Aerospace industry. The product line spans from Weather, Radar, Ground Proximity Warning Systems, Instrumented Landing Systems, Communication, Datalink and Navigation Radios, Transponders, Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems and Radar Altimeters. As a Sr. Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in leading and managing engineering projects across the global CNS domain. You will be responsible for defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams. By developing and implementing project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, you will ensure efficient project execution and delivery. Your expertise in project management and technical engineering will contribute to successful project outcomes and drive operational excellence. You will report directly to our Director of Project Engineering, and you'll work out of our Deer Valley, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the success of our advanced engineering projects. You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices.

    Primary responsibilities include:

    · Lead teams in development of proposals, statements of work and associated cost estimates.

    · Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and the program manager.

    · Define and implement project scope, objectives, deliverables, prepare schedules and resource forecasting in Microsoft project.

    · Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets using Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.

    · Lead a robust risk management process to identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery.

    · Contain scope growth though robust baseline change management.

    · Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns.

    · Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    As an Advanced Project Engineer within the Integrated Flight Deck Systems team at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in one or more of the following: the displays software, the displays/controller hardware, and/or the systems integration activities for Epic and/or Apex programs.

    In addition to your internal project responsibilities, you may also serve as the primary interface to the Systems Project Engineer that is leading the higher-level. You will collaborate closely with them and the customer business teams to understand their requirements, address any technical concerns, and provide expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

    Your expertise in project management and technical knowledge will be instrumental in leading and managing engineering projects within the Integrated Flight Deck Systems team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop project plans, monitor progress, and ensure successful project delivery.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Lead and manage engineering projects for the integration of Epic, Apex, and Anthem application programs

    + Serve as the primary engineering interface for customers, addressing their requirements and concerns

    • LSE systems engineer support of the NPI development project.

    • Provide technical support for field investigation, application support and factory support.

    • Guide the development process and create artifacts that meet FAA/EASA requirements.

    • Support customer meetings and RCCA activities
