Job Description

-Design HVAC systems including air handling units, air distribution systems, process exhaust primarily for cleanrooms and office areas.

-Direct CAD designers and support inter-discipline coordination in preparation of project designs.

-Partner with business unit customers and facilities operations to provide engineering solutions in support of their equipment and systems.

-Plan and prepare designs, specifications and estimates for projects compliant to local & international mechanical codes.

-Evaluate submittals, and contractor/manufacturer-furnished information.

Inspect specific construction and/or maintenance work to ensure adherence to design plans.

-Support system start-up, system optimization, and shut down functions. Analyze and determine root cause of factory outages due to system failures.

-Provide direction for restoration of operations in the event of system failures, breakdowns, or other emergency situations.

-Support operations personnel in establishing preventive maintenance and service programs, procedures, and record systems.

-Conduct FMEA review of HVAC systems, including, central plant system utilities.

Provide technical expertise to evaluate system efficiency & recommend energy efficient solutions for cost reduction efforts.

-Commission Mechanical systems such as air handling units, exhaust fans, pumps.

-Conduct HVAC infrastructure assessment for replacements or additions/expansions based on adequacy, capacity, convenience, reliability and safety of operations.

-Recommend appropriate actions which are cost effective and capable of future expansion.

-Support organizational goals.

-Complete all assignments within committed deadline.

-Ability to function effectively with peers inside and outside the organization.

-Actively demonstrate ownership of issues.

-Support management initiatives.

Skills and Requirements

Be part of the APU Project Engineering team, within Honeywell Power Systems, developing APUs for commercial and military applications. You will be the technical leader and be the primary decision maker for work package cost, schedule, and design issues. The successful candidate must be able to apply their experience and knowledge of systems engineering, gas turbine engine development, and strong project engineering, to serve as the single point of accountability for engineering work scope and execution.

Key Responsibilities

+ Own the overall system-level integration activities like APU performance, operability, acoustics, reliability, mantainability, and system safety.

+ Lead system level customer compliance efforts, including composing similarity reports, analysis reports, and military certification reports.

+ Ensure contract deliverables (SDRL’s) are delivered on-time.

+ Engages and leads internal cross-functional teams, including engineering, business management, airworthiness, customer support, quality, integrated supply chain, etc to ensure success of projects being worked.

+ Regularly provide status to and coordinate approval with Honeywell’s customer.

+ Function as project manager, estimating budget, schedule and staffing forecast.

+ Function as APU design owner in support of supplier transition and product cost reduction projects.

+ Travel to the US and/ or internationally - 10%

The Director, Solutions Engineering is responsible for leading the strategic direction, design, and implementation of associate technology at Humana, focused on computing and mobility solutions. This role will require a deep understanding of modern workplace technology and the digital employee experience.

The Director, Systems Engineering is responsible for the oversight of multiple systems and projects, including device management, virtualization, and automation technologies. This position will also be accountable for the implementations of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and oversee and evaluate system security, privacy, and backup processes.

This role will be an instrumental part of the departmental leadership team for our Associate Technology Experience group. They will partner closely with senior leadership and peers across Architecture, Product Management, Support Services, and Experience & Design.

**Required Qualifications**

+ 8+ years of Systems Engineering ITIL experience in design, analysis, configuration, and maintenance of complex systems software solutions and infrastructure.

+ 5+ years of formal leadership of a highly skilled technology organization including large, multi-functional teams in agile portfolios/programs including Kanban, JIRA, and Azure DevOps.

+ Experience designing and implementing highly scalable physical and virtual management systems and controls leveraging products including Citrix DaaS, JAMF Pro, Microsoft Configuration Manager, and Microsoft Intune.

+ Experience in configuration and migration of services within distributed, Cloud-Based and On-Premises environments including GCP, AWS and Azure.

+ Strong knowledge of data governance, risk management and information security processes including SOC, CIS, NIST, HIPAA and PCI.

+ Demonstrated effective influence of senior level management and key partners, with an ability to communicate abstract concepts to diverse audiences through graphic presentations, verbally, and in writing.

+ Outstanding collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills with ability to facilitate technology strategy, requirements, and architecture conversations with all partners (management, business users, and technology resources).

+ Demonstrated extensive knowledge managing large, complex initiatives in a results-driven environment, and accountability of deadlines and value propositions.

+ Self-starter who thrives in a constantly evolving, fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to change.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ A bachelor's degree or in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.

+ 10+ years combined hands-on engineering and architecture experience (TOGAF) with public and private cloud, distributed computing, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), and custom developed solutions.

+ Diverse and deep experience creating strategic roadmaps, reference architecture and engineering artifacts.

+ Expertise working with user-centered design principles and methodologies.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$153,500 - $211,300 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
