    Purpose and Scope:

    Reporting to the Engineering Manager, or designee, the Manufacturing Engineering Technician will provide support to the Manufacturing Engineers of the Kahr Bearing division. This position will assist in projects and programs, develop processes, tooling, manufacturing instructions, and equipment to support customer requirements and production schedules to meet the goals and objectives of the company.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    * Support a staff of Manufacturing Engineers responsible for the manufacturing of specialty bearings.
    * Improve manufacturing productivity and reduce production costs.
    * Coordinates the evaluation and disposition of nonconforming product.
    * Develops rework instructions for nonconforming product.
    * Participates in identifying root cause and corrective actions for nonconforming product.
    * Create and revise process bulletins, procedures, and work instructions.
    * Work within ERP/MRP system to enter and retrieve data for analysis.
    * Assist in the design, development, modification and implementation of equipment and processes to aid in the overall bearing manufacturing process.
    * Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, equipment layout and establishing and implementing manufacturing plans.
    * Ensure proper use of all safety regulations and equipment used in manufacturing.
    * Directly interface with production planning to ensure commitments, schedules, and obligations are met.

Tasks would include developing and prepare reports, procedure documentation, and a good understanding of product specifications.


    Prefer recent experience working with high-reliability spaceflight electronic hardware, including experience in both digital and RF/microwave circuit testing. Candidate qualifications include:

    + Competent computer skills and knowledge of UNIX, Windows and MS Office are required.

    + Able to interpret complex engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics and the necessary interfaces.
