**Summary:**

Meta seeks a highly engaged and experienced team player for a lead role to join our Design, Engineering & Construction (DEC) organization. As a Contract Manager, you will report to the Global Manager of the DEC Contracts team and be accountable to oversee all contracting for the project lifecycle of 3-5 data center campuses in North America. The role will partner with Contracts leadership and all levels across the organization to gather and understand operational and financial information to maximize contract value and reduce risk to the owner. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support DEC’s organization from a deal strategy and operational efficiency perspective. Candidates must be experienced in contract development, including scope development, deal structure, fee structure, contract formation, and legal and commercial negotiations. Success in the role requires a high degree of process orientation, communication skills, critical thinking to identify new and different approaches to structuring deals, and ability to work across multiple functions/stakeholders as a trusted advisor.The Contract Manager will manage, optimize and administer a variety of design, engineering, construction, connectivity and consulting contracts and will draft, develop, review and negotiate on Meta's behalf. This role will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive a cohesive and high impact contracts function. In particular, the role will collaborate closely with key partners in Precon, Design, Construction Delivery, Project Controls, Legal, Compliance, and Finance. The responsibilities of this role will also include collaboration with stakeholders outside of DEC, including Site Development, Energy, Supply Chain/Sourcing, and Facilities Operations functions. The DEC Contracts team maintains a continuous improvement philosophy with a focus on scaling processes and tooling to maintain efficiency in a constantly evolving industry and rapidly growing portfolio. As such, a key function of the role will be to find opportunities for process improvement to drive consistency and efficiency across the program.Partnering with stakeholders located across all regions and time zones is key to the success of our projects. This position is a great fit for a strategic problem solver with demonstrated contracts management and construction risk management expertise. The position requires daily engagement with internal and external partners to help drive time-sensitive requirements; therefore, the ideal person must communicate effectively to influence a broad range of leadership and team members. **Required Skills:**

Contracts Manager, Data Center Design Engineering and Construction Responsibilities:

1. Independently drive the overall contract management function for assigned data center campuses, including development and implementation of contracts management tooling solutions, contracts playbooks, and deal-to-contract intake and review processes for their functional program

2. Partner with Contracts leadership and other business leaders to help navigate complex operations and spend initiatives with significant spend and risk

3. drive cross-functional contracts risk and cost containment efforts

4. Develop and continuously improve deal-to-contract policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and control frameworks

5. Proactively work with partners to deliver on various activities including: budget planning and financial commitment monitoring, building contract templates and clause libraries, contract review processes and procedures and risk and supplier relationship management efforts.

6. Develop and maintain internal (customer and business partner) and external (Supplier) relationships to ensure positive and constructive interactions representing complex contracting issues to leadership teams.

7. Coordinate and drive resolution to key business issues with legal, risk management, corporate contracts and leadership

8. Serve as the point of contact for contract inquiries for their regional purview

9. Provide guidance and internal support for their functional program on best ways to structure deals

10. Ensure that signed contracts are complete and clearly communicated to all relevant parties, including interpretation to support implementation

11. Examine existing policies and procedures to optimize the end-to-end process from source to pay with all parties concerned

12. Share best practices with and provide training to team, peers, and outside business units to enhance the quality and efficiency of contracting processes

13. Ensure all approved requests have been properly documented, escalated to the appropriate approval level, and resolved within SLA

14. Act as a liaison between the business and Legal to drive for resolution of business and legal risk issues during contract formation and negotiation.

15. Manage and coordinate various projects and contracts management responsibilities

16. Partner with Contracts Program leadership to develop and define KPIs for the purposes of Quarterly and Annual Business Reviews

17. 15-20% travel to construction sites is required (domestic locations)

18. 15+ years of work experience in transactional contract management, construction law, construction risk management, supply chain or similar contract-related experience

19. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Construction Management, English, Accounting, Legal Studies, Contract Law, Business Administration, Engineering or similar.

20. Experience in all Microsoft Office applications (ex: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).

21. Experience with Adobe Sign (or similar electronic signing tool)

Experience with typical construction industry contracting approaches and fee structures, such as: Lump Sum, Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), Cost Reimbursement, Cost Plus Fee, Time & Materials, Hourly Rate, Not to Exceed, Design/Build, Integrated Project Delivery, Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC), Financial Incentive Structures.

**Responsibilities**

This individual is responsible for the oversight of specification and drawings development detailing all electrical systems, power distribution systems, backup power systems, electrical power monitoring systems, the control diagrams, sequence of operation for the electrical controls systems, overall network architecture and communication protocols required. This candidate will be responsible for managing our AE consultants making sure they engineer and design to Microsoft technical standards. Candidate will also work on the technical review and analysis of lease and colocation datacenters for compliance with Microsoft requirements. The position requires travel to sites, to “Factory Witness Testing”, vendor interaction in the design process, as well as final commissioning of the installed systems.

+ Collaborate with Microsoft’s Global Electrical Power Monitoring System teams to understand and develop the datacenter (DC) EPMS designs from Basis of Design (BOD) to Issue for Constructions (IFC) for new DC project buildouts and retrofit projects;

+ Lead and direct A/E consultants in the design and coordination of the EPMS systems with other disciplines, associated controls and overall electrical distribution and topology for datacenter builds and retrofits;

+ Responsible for leading EPMS workgroups with representatives from AE consulting firms along with key stakeholders within Microsoft;

+ Manage all EPMS system designs during the design stages, equipment procurement, bidding, manufacturing, delivery and installation on site. Identify and resolve issues raised by the construction teams and various stakeholders;

+ Interface closely with internal procurement team, manufacturers, commissioning team and the global and local engineering teams to deliver the EPMS solutions needed for each project;

+ Responsible for the oversight of specifications and drawings development, detailing the sequence of operation for the EPMS systems and overall drawings and specifications for our Electrical topology;

+ Technical review and analysis of the lease and colocation datacenter space from external providers for compliance with Microsoft requirements;

+ Assist the Operations teams with EPMS system and equipment strategic improvements, working closely with equipment vendors and suppliers;

+ Knowledge of cyber security and how to mitigate against cyber attack in the realm of networking and EPMS deployment.

+ Travel to sites for “Factory Witness Testing”, equipment and engineering vendor interaction in the design process, as well as final commissioning of the installed systems.

+ Knowledge of server platforms, virtualization theories and concepts, database design and engineering, data management and disaster recovery / planning / risk assessment

+ Knowledge of network design, including network switch and media type selection, virtual networks and various topological and architectural strategies for redundancy and security

+ Knowledge of construction techniques and terminology, including the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and requirements documents is essential

+ Experience in designing, operating, and commissioning of electrical distribution systems, from high voltage (HV) to branch circuits

+ Experience with power system analysis and engineering software packages

+ Industry knowledge of digital cyber security practices and risks mitigation technique

+ Effective written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and maintain high quality standards

+ Ability to lead teams of engineers in advanced engineering and operational processes and procedures as they relate to large datacenter environments

+ Leadership competencies and willingness to collaborate and work cross- functionally to maximize business results and positive customer experiences

+ Experience managing both internal and external vendors, with a proven ability to manage and monitor progress to ensure objectives are achieved for outsourced project efforts

+ Solid interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills at varying levels of business up to and including business executives; Ability to prepare and present using MS office packages.

Electrical Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.

What part will you play?

The Design Engineer (DE) is a member of the Project Engineering Electronic Security Systems (ESS) team and a supporting contributor to the support of client design projects. The DE reports directly to the Senior Manager for Project Engineering. The DE will provide support through the design project life cycle from sales concept to design development, construction drawings to construction administration support. As a technical resource on a project team, you will be instrumental in the determination and execution of client and system requirements and will collaborate with support teams to bring your design to life. Through our groundbreaking workflow, you’ll have access to incredible technology and tools to help you articulate and deliver your design while being supported by global resources.

The DE will be supported and mentored by Senior Design Engineers, and will maintain both primary and supportive roles on complex ESS projects through direction of the DEM.

What part will you play?

+ Contributor for complex engagements and works directly with clients and the Design Engineering team to develop specifications, designs, budgets, timelines and manage expectations.

+ Conceptualize system designs and determine system requirements

+ Provide technical expertise and coordination information to support the architecture, installation and planning of electronic security solutions

Complexity:

The DE will work with the other DE’s and Sales Leadership on resource assignment and needs. This role may be billable in a post-sales capacity, though there are times when the DE will work on presales or program efforts, team management and general administration. The DE team will work on the most complex systems, the most complex client needs and the largest projects.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that may be met by an employee. Work will normally be performed within normal office conditions and/or home office depending on location of DE. On occasions the employee may be exposed to construction site conditions. Employee will be responsible for their safety while on job sites and to comply with all safety regulations in place by the GC. Use of PPE is usually required on job sites. The employee can typically spend at least 50% of their time on their feet and be required to mobile around the construction site. The individual is regularly required to use keyboards, test equipment and controls required for SI installation projects. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth vision.

Travel: 10-20 %

Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector, Tactical Space Systems Division (TSSD) is seeking a qualified Senior Principal Systems Engineer for the role of System Thread Lead for a Satellite Mission program. This position is located on-site in Dulles, VA or Gilbert, AZ. Successful candidates for this position will work in a technical systems thread (i. e. one or more subsystems) lead role for the Satellite Missions business area and offers the opportunity to work on exciting, cutting-edge programs and new mission areas.

**Duties/Responsibilities:**

+ Develop and review requirements, verification plans, and architecture at all levels of the System

+ Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints

+ Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into lower level specifications

+ Integrate complex design elements across multiple teams and vendors of the program

+ Coordinate with all levels of the program to ensure a comprehensive system design

+ Ensure system hardware and software teams are developing and design their content that meet the system requirements

+ Provide subject matter expertise for the Thread to the program

+ Brief program leadership, customers, and stakeholders on the on the Thread

+ Engage in formal and informal mentoring to support knowledge transfer and talent development.

+ Performing demonstrations and conducting briefings explaining test procedures and processes

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field with at least 8 years of applicable experience or Master’s degree with 6 years of applicable experience.

+ **Must have US Citizenship with current or active Top Secret Clearance at time of application.**

+ Experience in systems engineering to include architectural studies, technical baseline definition, requirements & interface management, hardware/software integration, test planning & execution, or operational support

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Experience coordinating the efforts of diverse stakeholders

+ Experience in system architecture, CONOPs development, or model-based system engineering

+ Experience with various technical tools such as MATLAB, STK, CORE, DOORS, or CAMEO

+ Current or active TS/SCI

**Salary Range:** $118,600 - $206,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

**Your Career**

As a Channel Systems Engineer covering a regional territory, your role will involve providing leadership, technical expertise, and guidance to partners on their journey towards becoming key Palo Alto Networks partners. You will work as a technical leader with channel partners, providing technical expertise to support the technical sales and implementation of company products and solutions. This role involves collaborating with partners, training them on technical aspects, providing pre-sales technical assistance, and ensuring successful integration and post-sales support. The Channel Systems Engineer will act as a trusted advisor, driving growth within the region by fostering strong relationships with channel partners and ensuring they have the knowledge and tools needed to succeed. **Your Impact**

+ Serve as the primary technical leader for channel partners within the assigned region

+ Collaborate with focus partners in the territory to develop comprehensive business plans that align to strategic objectives

+ Provide technical pre-sales support to partners, including product demonstrations, solution architecture design, and configuration assistance

+ Collaborate with your sales peers to identify opportunities for new partnerships and expand existing ones

+ Plan and drive technical training sessions for partners, ensuring they are proficient in the company’s products, solutions, and integration processes

+ Support channel partners with technical issues during and after product implementation, acting as a liaison between them and the company's technical support teams

+ Design and deliver customized solutions based on partner and customer needs, ensuring alignment with company standards and best practices

+ Stay updated on product roadmaps, new technologies, and industry trends to better assist partners in growing their business

+ Assist in the development and deployment of channel enablement materials, such as technical guides, manuals, and webinars

+ Collaborate with the product management and development teams to provide feedback on product improvements based on partner and customer feedback

+ Maintain detailed records of partner interactions, sales pipeline, and technical support provided, reporting progress to management regularly

**Your Experience**

+ 5+ years of experience in Partner Solution Consulting, pre-sales engineering, or a similar technical role within the technology industry

+ Extensive knowledge in at least one of - networking, endpoint, backup, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and enterprise IT systems

+ Strong understanding of channel sales models and experience working with resellers, distributors, and other channel partners

+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences

+ Hands-on experience with product installations, configurations, and troubleshooting

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team, managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

+ Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards resolving issues

+ Willingness to travel within the assigned region to support partners and attend events as necessary

+ Proven track record of influencing key stakeholders and gaining buy-in for technical solutions

Preferred

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent military experience

**Compensation Disclosure**

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $198000 - $273000/YR.
