    Job Summary:

    As a StormBreaker Senior Modeling, Simulation, & Analysis Engineer, you will participate in multi-disciplinary work across integrated product teams consisting of Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC), Signal Processing (SP) and missile-and-sensor-level Performance Simulations. The StormBreaker Integrated Flight Simulation team provides, develops, and maintains the high-fidelity performance simulation, evaluates system performance, supports new business initiatives and develops & implements technology roadmaps.

    This is an Onsite role in Tucson, Arizona

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    + You will develop, maintain, and modify the StormBreaker Integrated Flight Simulation and models for system design, performance assessment, and flight test support

    + You will be responsible for the development and implementation of modeling solutions, conduct trade studies, and evaluation of StormBreaker system and subsystem performance

    + You will work in a team environment, receiving inputs from the team supervisors and providing guidance and/or direction to other team members

    + You will collaborate with GNC, Signal Processing (SP), Software, and other department personnel to perform StormBreaker simulation activities

    + You will work on diverse projects, determine, and develop approaches and solutions, and provide development guidance throughout the product lifecycle from initial concept to fielded product

    + You will provide technical expertise for the StormBreaker simulation products, and assist Senior Modeling Engineers in the preparation of detailed plans, and interact with government counterparts as an authority on StormBreaker simulation products

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and five (5) years or more of documented work and/or academic experience in the following areas:

    + Experience leading a small simulation team

    + Experience programming in C++, C, or other high order language

    + Experience using MATLAB or Python for evaluation of data sets

    + Experience developing or simulating physical systems

    + Academic or work experience in modeling, simulation, statistics, or analysis for existing or proposed engineering solutions

    + Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date . U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Advanced Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related STEM degree

    + StormBreaker experience managing others using applied system engineering principals and interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines

    + Experience evaluating GNC and/or SP algorithms or models for StormBreaker applications

    + Experience with StormBreaker Control Hardware Design and Test

    + Experience modeling physics and physical systems as related to flight dynamics

    + Experience using Software Configuration Management tools

    + Experience with simulation/model integration test, verification and validation

    + Course work or experience in some of the following fields: radar, signal & image processing, digital communications, probability and statistics, linear algebra, estimation theory, optimal control, system architecture, inertial navigation, guidance theory

    + Experience with radar and/or EO/IR environment models

    + Experience using UNIX/Linux based workstations

    + Experience with hardware/software integration

    + Experience developing and presenting technical briefings

    + Experience working on a team and by yourself

    + Current/Active DoD security clearance

    The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
