Additionally, we build high reliability, scalability, and performance into our applications to accelerate Intel's time to market for its silicon products.

    In this role responsibilities include, although not limited to:

    + IT Product Engineering’s SAAF (Streamlined Access Approval Flow) requires the ability to work with stakeholders to refine requirements and design solutions to meet these requirements for rapidly and securely onboarding design teams into the silicon design environment. The solutions will be developed on full stack infrastructure – knowledge of database, middleware and front end are needed. Ability to work with infosec to ensure application meets Intel’s security framework standards.

    **Qualifications**

    You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or related field and 1+ years of experience -OR- a master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or related field and:

    + 1+ years of experience developing full stack applications.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with Python, C/C++, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, HTML, CS.

    + Knowledge of python or other scripting languages.

    + Certified Associate in Python Programming.

    + Knowledge of SQL or other DBs.

    **About the Role:**

    We are seeking a product engineering leader to drive the Access Management Foundations team in the Product Security organization against a large and ambitious roadmap. As Confluent grows and introduces new and exciting features, the Product Security organization is involved from the ground up to see to it that there is a tight security integration and ensure the best customer experience on our streaming data platform. The deeply-experienced team is responsible for not only setting critical directions in how customers are able to utilize different product features at Confluent, but also developing foundational components of our product security story for others to build from. You will be responsible for further defining the vision, growing and coaching the team, and planning and driving cross-team efforts to solve complex distributed system challenges at scale.

    **What You Will Do:**

    + Own the overall vision and execution for the Access Management Foundations team in the Product Security Engineering organization

    + Work closely with product management, engineering leadership, and other key stakeholders across various teams in Confluent and Confluent Cloud to build and drive the overall roadmap

    + Deliver high impact to the business by driving important technical initiatives in areas comprising (but not limited to) security, reliability, multi-tenancy, architectural direction, and major component refactor across organizational boundaries

    + Work with engineering teams and product on critical aspects of product definition, architectural design, and delivery

    + Influence the overall domain health and operational hygiene for the Cloud Platform

    **What You Will Bring:**

    + 10+ years of experience in software development and 3+ years in management

    + Experience designing resilient systems at scale, in the three major CSPs (AWS, Azure, GCP), with a proven track record of “seeing around corners” to reduce complexity and create critical enduring technical foundations

    + Ability to influence the team, peers, and upper management using effective communication and collaborative techniques

    + Ability to hire while ensuring a high hiring bar, keep engineers motivated, coach/mentor, and handle performance management

    + A great track record of timely shipping features and have a sense of urgency, an aggressive mindset towards achieving results, and excellent prioritization skills

    + Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
