    JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE

    This position requires a vigorous safety orientation and application of advanced electrical / electronic skills. It includes a variety of objectives such as keeping electrical equipment and control instruments in good repair and safe operating condition; installing and maintaining complex electrical equipment; setting up, adjusting, and maintaining process control equipment; developing and designing electrical and electronic circuits, diagrams, and schematics for existing equipment upgrades and modifications; and assisting with mechanical maintenance involving new equipment installation and facility improvements or additions.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


    * Develops or designs electronic circuits for equipment or system upgrades and modifications; designs electrical diagrams and schematics for facility modifications, equipment installations, and new facilities
    * Develops programs for microprocessor/computer based process controllers to perform to process specifications; troubleshoots and repairs control circuits to maintain on-line service of controllers
    * Installs, troubleshoots, makes alterations, and maintains panels and related equipment including control and all types of starting equipment, relays, contractors, variable speed controllers, furnace and heating circuits, and all types of transformers and safety indicators
    * Builds new instrument or electrical systems from sketches, diagrams, or prints

    Purpose and Scope: This position supports operational excellence in the building and testing of hydraulic components. This role entails collaboration with various members of the Sargent hydraulics team to meet organizational goals while furthering productivity, quality, and continuous improvement. The primary functions of this position are to assemble and test hydraulic components.

    Roles & Responsibilities:


    * Assemble and test hydraulic components, including control valves and actuators
    * Ensure that all work performed complies with Sargent procedures, drawings, work instructions and quality policies, as well as customer and regulatory requirements
    * Work with Manufacturing Engineering to identify tooling and instructions needed to improve the assembly and test process
    * Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
    * Comply with FOD and tooling control standards
    * Attendance and punctuality are essential to success in this position
    * Must be available to work overtime and weekends as required

    Required Education, Skills & Experience:


    * High School Diploma or GED required
    * Minimum three (3) years combined experience in tear down, inspection, assembly, test, repair/overhaul or troubleshooting of hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical equipment.
    * Ability to use hand tools and lift 50 lbs
    * Ability to read and understand blue prints, engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics.
    * Ability to work effectively and cooperatively within a cross-functional team
