**Job Description**

+ Implement and maintain Abbott Vascular policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all Abbott, local, state, and federal environmental standards.

+ Research, determine applicability, and implement plan for compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

+ Develop and provide employee EHS training as it pertains to environmental programs (e.g. Waste Management and disposal).

+ Support facilities operations and projects through environmental hazard reviews and creation of waste mitigation or reduction plans.

+ Conduct inspections, assist with implementation of corrective actions and track observations to closure.

+ Maintaining accurate records related to chemical inventories, complaint investigations, and shipments of hazardous wastes.

+ Identify potential waste reduction opportunities and drive projects to reduce site waste output in support of Abbott sustainability goals.

+ Mentor others by sharing technical expertise and providing feedback and guidance.

+ Interface with regulatory agencies, trade groups and peers from similar organizations.

+ Represents EHS on committees, project teams, business reviews, etc.

+ Develop and implement policies and procedures to address current and anticipated Environmental and safety issues.

+ Assist in the timely investigation of accidents and recommended preventative measures and ensure risk of recurrence is minimized or eliminated

+ Train new employees and contractors to AV’s EHS policies and procedures.

+ Develop EHS training to comply with regulatory and corporate requirements.

+ Provide assistance and support for compliance with major safety programs such as Lockout/Tagout, Hot Work, Emergency Preparedness, Hazard Communication, Fire Prevention, Industrial Hygiene, Contractor Safety, Hazard Communication, Personal Protective Equipment, Electrical Safety, Biological Safety, Working at Heights, Machine Guarding, Powered Industrial Vehicles, and Ergonomics.

**You will need to have:**

+ Bachelor degree in EH&S, Engineering, or Science and a minimum of 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

+ Working knowledge of MS Office applications

+ Experience in a Manufacturing environment

+ GMP experience with Pharma/Medical Devices

+ Certifications: CSP, CHMM

+ Practical knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures commonly utilized within the health and safety profession

+ Ability to manage multiple projects and achieve objectives within established deadlines

+ Excellent organization and communication skills,

+ Complete Job Site Analysis for customer or job sites where work is to be performed.

+ Assemble and secure pipes, fittings, and related equipment according to project specifications.

+ Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipe lines using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.

+ Perform demonstration of equipment for customers upon install and testing completion if required.

+ Using hand and power tools, modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, pumps, and related machines and equipment following specifications.

+ Follow QSE regulations

+ Ensure total customer satisfaction prior to leaving jobsite and answer any questions they may have.

+ Promote cooperation and good communication with all Branch and Corporate personnel.

Position Summary:

**This Opportunity**

We are seeking entry level, **On-Call Field Technicians** to work over the summer months for our **Safford, Arizona** office. The successful candidate will conduct Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) observation and testing services for earthen and geosynthetic containment systems for local mining containment facilities.

**Your Opportunity**

Stantec is currently seeking a Project Environmental Site Assessment Consultant (Scientist, Geologist, or Engineer) to support our team of environmental professionals with ability to perform environmental site assessments, and if needed hazardous materials consulting (asbestos, lead-paint, PCBs, etc.).

**Your Key Responsibilities**

+ Manage multiple task requests simultaneously. Adherence to the approved scope, budget and schedule are imperative.

+ Communicate daily with the project team and clients as needed

+ Complete site assessment projects with multi-person project teams.

+ Perform pre-field preparation for on-site projects including development of health and safety documents, coordinating with subcontractors, and obtaining permits

+ Conduct field work (30 - 50% of time) which will consist of conducting tailgate health and safety meetings, performing hazardous materials surveys.

+ The ability to perform the following is a plus: Managing utility clearance for sampling locations, supervise drilling activities, prepare soil boring logs, groundwater monitoring and soil vapor well construction logs, and collect soil, soil vapor, and groundwater samples.

+ Support environmental and other related site assessment and remediation projects by providing field support, data management, interpretation, and technical assistance.

+ Conduct quality assurance and quality control of fieldwork programs and reports/work product deliverables.

+ Prepare technical reports presenting key findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

Stantec is currently seeking a Project Environmental Site Assessment Consultant (Scientist, Geologist, or Engineer) to support our team of environmental professionals with ability to perform environmental site assessments, and if needed hazardous materials consulting (asbestos, lead-paint, PCBs, etc.).

**Your Key Responsibilities**

+ Manage multiple task requests simultaneously. Adherence to the approved scope, budget and schedule are imperative.

+ Communicate daily with the project team and clients as needed

+ Complete site assessment projects with multi-person project teams.

+ Perform pre-field preparation for on-site projects including development of health and safety documents, coordinating with subcontractors, and obtaining permits

+ Conduct field work (30 - 50% of time) which will consist of conducting tailgate health and safety meetings, performing hazardous materials surveys.

+ The ability to perform the following is a plus: Managing utility clearance for sampling locations, supervise drilling activities, prepare soil boring logs, groundwater monitoring and soil vapor well construction logs, and collect soil, soil vapor, and groundwater samples.

+ Support environmental and other related site assessment and remediation projects by providing field support, data management, interpretation, and technical assistance.

+ Conduct quality assurance and quality control of fieldwork programs and reports/work product deliverables.

+ Prepare technical reports presenting key findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position performs waived and non-waived tests as defined by CLIA ‘88 in an accurate and timely manner with supervision.
