    The Institute for Human Development (IHD) is an interdisciplinary unit and the oldest Institute at NAU. IHD is housed in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences on the campus of NAU in Flagstaff, Arizona.     The Special Education Learning Experiences for Competency in Teaching (SELECT) program falls under the Interdisciplinary Education and Training core function. It is one of three current academic programs along with the Disability Studies Minor and the Assistive Technology Graduate Certificate.
