    **Position description**

    The Cardiovascular Technician performs diagnostic procedures that include ambulatory electrocardiography (24, 48, 12 lead and extended wear holter monitors), event recorders, tilt table testing, injectable loop recorder insertions (assists physician) and remote monitoring. ECG interpretation skills required and employee must pass ECG competency exam upon hire.

    The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs is required.

    **Qualifications** Requires HS diploma or G.E.D.

    **Additional qualifications**

    Graduation from a cardiovascular technician, certified nursing assistant, or medical assistant program preferred.

    Availability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.

    Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.

    Strong computer skills preferred.

    CRAT (certification), current or prior experience as a CV technician strongly preferred.

    **License or certification**

    Basic Life Support certification is required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.

    **Compensation Detail**

    Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $18.39 per hour.
