The MineStar Supply Chain S&OP team, within Resource Industries Sales, Services, and Technology (RISST) is responsible for balancing demand and supply, supporting order to delivery, administering & supporting the CRM tool (Salesforce), and tracking key KPIs.
As a Business Intelligence Analyst in the MineStar Supply Chain team, you will provide support to a diverse group of customers including others in the MineStar Supply Chain team, MineStar commercial reps, and MineStar sales reps. You may also be called upon to engage with the Cat eCRM team on Salesforce support/development requests or with other teams under the RISST/MineStar umbrella on data analytics/data visualization.
**What you will do:**
+ Development, maintenance, and enhancement of new & existing Power BI dashboards and Excel processes
+ Maintenance of MineStar price list & Salesforce configurator
+ Creation of analytical/predictive models relative to future MineStar sales
+ Execution of S&OP training sessions for supply chain, commercial, and sales team members
The Business Intelligence Analyst may also be called upon to support other areas of the team including:
+ Execution of demand capture and inventory planning process (Excel)
+ Monthly metrics reporting
+ Cross-functional projects
The Business Intelligence Analyst is challenged to identify and address data and/or analytics problems swiftly with minimal oversight. Clear and concise communication (written and oral) is essential to success in this role as you will be working with peers, leaders, and dealers from around the world with diverse backgrounds, including those to whom English may not be their primary language.
**What degree/experience you require:**
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ 1+ years of experience in data analysis/visualization involving large and complex datasets OR 1+ years of experience in demand & inventory planning process execution
**What skills top candidates may have:**
+ Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
+ Experience with SAP SPM (SPP and/or EWM), Antares, Salesforce
+ Experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and/or SharePoint Lists
+ Experience building analytical SQL queries in Snowflake
+ Experience with development/maintenance of dashboards in Power BI or similar data visualization tool
+ Understanding of Caterpillar processes for engineering changes, NPI, global purchasing, demand planning, order management, and/or aftermarket inventory management practices
+ Problem solver with a passion for using data to identify issues or trends, analyzing root cause, and advising on solutions or alternatives
+ Tenacious attention to detail to spot inaccuracies in data or coding
+ Must be a self-starter with sound organization and prioritizing skills
+ Strong customer focus & communication skills (written and oral)
+ Ability to work autonomously as well as collaborate effectively across teams
+ Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
