    Job Summary:

    In this role, you will oversee, coordinate, and execute equipment and facility calibrations in accordance with ISO 13485 requirements.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


    * Oversees the maintenance and execution of the calibration program to ensure compliance to standards, including ISO 13485 and FDA 21CFR820
    * Maintains calibration schedule for facility and equipment - including, but not limited to, logs, records, files, and other documentation for both internal and external calibrations
    * Coordinates with department managers, maintenance personnel, production leads, and external vendors for calibrations, repairs, and other services
    * Ensures calibration accuracy and adherence. Investigates impact on product and/or processes for any out-of-tolerance (OOT) issues identified
    * Prioritize, plan, and execute work activities in alignment with department and company priorities with minimal supervision.
    * Perform all other duties as assigned

    Basic Qualifications:


    * High School degree or equivalent
    * 1-3 years of experience in Calibration, Maintenance, or related field (preferably in Medical Device)
    * Must have excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills
    * Must be able to interface with employees at all levels of the organization.

    Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


    * Experience in a cGMP environment - FDA regulated or ISO 13485 is preferred.
    * Experience with SAP is preferred

    We are currently seeking an Instrumentation Technician Supervisor for our Practice in Phoenix, AZ. A considerable asset of the Vehicle Engineering Practice is the Test and Engineering Center (TEC) in Phoenix, which is a highly capable test facility that conducts a wide range of testing to support the evaluations of our Vehicle Engineering Practice. Some of the tests conducted at the Phoenix facility include full-scale vehicle testing, mechanical and electronic component testing, and battery testing. In this role you will work with our consultants in preparing for and conducting various system, subsystem, and component-level tests. You will also be responsible for managing a team of Instrumentation Technicians and overseeing the testing they conduct for both internal and external clients.

    Your responsibilities will include:


    * Working with consultants to define and setup custom test programs driven by client requirements
    * Setting up and conducting instrumented test programs of all types
    * Managing the team of Instrumentation Technicians at Exponent’s Test and Engineering Center
    * Working individually and within a team environment to determine test methodologies and document test execution

    Basic computer knowledge.

    Good interpersonal skills.

    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and the ability to receive and give constructive feedback.

    Good verbal and written communication skills, being concise by phone and in person.
