    **What will I be doing?**

    As a 2nd Class Operating Engineer, you would be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the hotel's engine room equipment and machinery in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability\.     + Demonstrates appropriate usage of paint brushes thinner and other tools and equipment.

    + Inspects the walls and deciding upon the number of paint coats that will be required.

    + Maintains quality and standards of work.

    + Applies paint stain varnish enamel and other finishes to equipment buildings and/or other structures using brushes spray guns or rollers.

    + Applies primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces such as bare wood or metal for finish coats.

    + Mixes and matches colors of paint stain or varnish with oil and thinning and drying additives in order to obtain desired colors and consistencies.

    + Fills nail holes joints and cracks in walls with plaster or other filler.

    + Covers surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and removes fixtures such as pictures door knobs lamps and electric switch covers prior to painting.

    + Calculates amounts of required materials and estimate costs based on surface measurements and/or work orders.

    + Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

    + Requisitions new painting supplies and equipment.

    Job Summary

    The Remodeler & Drywall Finisher (Technician) will provide skilled repair work while learning the techniques required to perform professional mitigation & disaster response services for 1-800 Water Damage of Greater Tucson. These responses will include the removal of drywall, insulation, baseboard, subflooring, and flooring. The Repair Technician will work alongside field technicians as needed. Customer service experience is a requirement.

    Working knowledge of drywall and stucco repair and the application of materials to complete assigned tasks, such as tape, texture, float to match existing finish. Experience with restoring surfaces.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform skilled repair labor as assigned before, during, and after water mitigation and mold remediation has been performed.

    + Repair and replace drywall - match texture and sand/paint to match existing walls.

    + Install insulation to match the current.

    + Interior Painting.

    + Home remodeling and cabinet installation, repair

    + Install baseboard and paint and seal to match.

    + Repair subflooring and install the flooring to match: tile, carpet, and various types of wood flooring.

    + Install cabinets and/or toe kicks removed during water mitigation to match existing.

    + Manage multiple projects while assessing repairs needed to homes and accurately sourcing and purchasing materials for these projects.

    + Work independently or with an assistant and properly manage repair times and costs.

    + Show up on time for shifts, in proper uniform & well-groomed.

    + Technicians wear masks frequently. Facial hair cannot go outside the perimeter of the mask and must be well-groomed for the safety and health of the technician.

    + Technicians must provide their own pants in the color black or tan and boots.

    + Continued ongoing education and training for certifications related to the job.

    + Learn & practice commitment to customer service.

    + Fill out paperwork properly; (Timesheets, PO Forms, Field Checklist).

    + Monitor and document project costs and manages sub-contractors as needed.

    + Must be able to exercise good judgment & to understand & carry out written & or oral instructions, along with sound problem-solving ability.

    + A technician will receive a $0.50 raise after 90 days with a satisfactory review.

    + A technician will receive an additional $0.50 raise after 180 days with a satisfactory review.

    + A technician will have bi-annual reviews with the chance for additional raises dependent on his/her progression while on the job.

    + All successful customer referrals from an employee will result in a $100 bonus.

    + Upon successful completion of a job-related certification outlined by the company, the technician will receive a $50-$100 bonus in the form of a gift card.

    Qualifications

    + High School Diploma and/or college experience.

    + Must maintain a valid Driver’s License & maintain a good driving record.

    + Must be able to stand; walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel – reach with hands & arms and talk or hear.

    + Must be able to regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.

    + Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

    + Must have basic tools for basic home repairs

    Compensation: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
