**Main Responsibilities:**

• Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers

• Doing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision and in a timely manner

• Repairing and troubleshooting major components such as engines, transmissions and differentials, including replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.

• Keeping your work area clean and safe

• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics

• Learning new skills through Penske’s technician training

• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

**Qualifications:**

• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred

• Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications (preferred)

• Experienced using all tools of the trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand and power tools)

• Valid driver’s license required, CDL preferred

• The ability to solve problems

• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills

• The ability to work well as part of a team

• Willing to work in non-climate-controlled conditions

• Basic computer skills

• The associate will be required to understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information established by Penske management

• The associate must be able to perform all work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies; including but not limited to the correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practice.

• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

• As this position requires driving Penske and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The driver qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last 3 years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMCSA Clearinghouse review.

• Willingness to travel as necessary within the district (customers’ yards, close geographical area and training sites), work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background screening (to include criminal checks, past employment and education) and pass a drug screening

The Automotive Technician plays a pivotal role within our automotive service team. As a vital member, you learn and develop foundational skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, this role involves hands-on learning to address various automotive systems and services. **What you’ll need to succeed as a Diesel Mechanic at XPO**

Minimum qualifications:

+ 2 years of experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair, a technical school degree with certification in heavy-duty truck/trailer maintenance

+ Obtain EPA HVAC Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling Certification within 90 days of hire (ASE, MACS or equivalent)

+ A valid driver’s license

+ Basic welding skills (Oxy/Acetylene, MIG and ARC) and mechanical skills

The Automotive Technician plays a pivotal role within our automotive service team. As a vital member, you learn and develop foundational skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, this role involves hands-on learning to address various automotive systems and services. **Minimum Qualifications**

We're seeking an individual with the right OEM training and qualifications to be our non-working shop foreman. The roll will require you to provide quality control on our repairs, assist technicians when they need help, and managing the workflow through our shop. The ideal candidate doesn't take shortcuts, and likes to get things done right the first time. OEM Training and certifications from Stellantis are a requirement. Overall Responsibility:

As a mechanic you will primarily be responsible for the repair, service, and maintenance of equipment in the shop and in the field at various job sites. This could include troubleshooting and repairing diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical equipment. You will be operating from a service truck and will be required to perform preventative maintenance services as well.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

+ Performing a variety of skilled duties which may involve inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on general or heavy equipment.

+ Service equipment as required to ensure proper operating condition at the job site.

+ Satisfy in a timely manner, all required documentation, timesheets, checklists, receiving records and repair order logs.

+ Conduct preventative maintenance as required to ensure the timely and accurate completion of preventative maintenance activities.

+ Clean work vehicle and work area as necessary to maintain a safe work environment.

+ Meet all company, governmental and equipment related safety requirements.

+ Field Mechanics must be able to travel.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Ability to operate all Asphalt-related equipment.

+ Ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of mechanical and electrical equipment

+ Ability to safely use hand and power tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices

+ Ability to understand and fill out service-related documents and paperwork

+ Requires the ability to lift, push or pull and move up to 70 pounds and must be capable of climbing, kneeling, twisting and bending in a varied environment

+ Must be dependable and report to work on time

+ Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, yard and dispatch personnel

+ Must exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety

+ Good written and verbal communication skills

+ Must maintain satisfactory driving record at all times which may be subject to approval by company’s insurer and in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws

+ A high school diploma (or equivalent)

+ A valid clean driver’s license. CDL Preferred

+ Vocational Training and/or Technical Certificate or equivalent

5+ years’ experience as a heavy equipment/diesel mechanic
