    Essential Functions of the Job (In order of Importance):

    + Maintain and/or repair Low to High Voltage electrical power distribution systems and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment on a regular preventative maintenance schedule. In depth ability to trouble shoot 24v Circuits

    + Trouble shoot, replace/repair electrical components of machinery including but not limited to: PLC’s, VFD’s, Contacts, Relays etc.

    + Ability to read and interpret Electrical schematics, parts diagrams and operating procedures pertaining to industrial electrical equipment.

    + Complete quality documentation of repairs, work orders and preventative maintenance performed on all equipment and machinery.

    + Ability to use a variety of electrical tools safely and accurately including but not limited to: Multimeters, Meggers, Circuit tracers, Fish tape’s, Conduit benders, terminal crimpers etc.

    Marginal Job Functions:

    + Operating mobile equipment such as forklift trucks, boom lifts and scissor lifts. Welding and fabrication skills are a plus but not required for the maintenance electrician position and can be taught on the job.

    Physical Demands:

    + Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, walk, and lift, up to 50 pounds including very limited work in confined spaces.

    Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring for an Electrician to join our team at Grand Canyon National Park in Grand Canyon Village, Arizona. As an Electrician, you will perform daily repairs on electrical items, gas-fired appliances, and equipment at Grand Canyon National Park.

    Responsibilities

    + Evaluate the condition of equipment and make recommendations for repair or replacement.

    + Diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of the problem.

    + Perform all work with guest service in mind, keeping equipment and operational downtime to a minimum.

    + Oversee completion and documentation of work orders, ensuring accuracy and cost effectiveness regarding materials, labor, and equipment.

    + Perform preventive scheduled maintenance on electrical and gas-fired equipment.

    + Adhere to all safety, risk management, and environmental policies and procedures.

    + All other duties assigned.

    Qualifications

    + Minimum of 4 years experience as a certified electrician.

    + Ability to work with single and three phase voltages ranging from 0-480 volts, and 1200k volts when required.

    + Ability to install 3-way and 4-way light switches.

    + Ability to distinguish between delta and Y connected transformers.

    + Must possess a valid state driver’s license.

    + Working knowledge on the National Electrical Code.

    Physical Requirements

    + Ability to stand, sit, walk, reach, climb, crawl, squat, kneel, and bend for extended periods of time.

    + Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.

    + Ability to push and pull up to 100 lbs

    THE POSITION:

    We’re looking for an Install Electrician with 2 to 5 years of recent residential electrical experience. Under the direct supervision of the Service Manager, this position participates in the construction, installation, and repair of electrical systems of varying design and complexity on residential electrical service projects.     **Description**

    Skilled worker in the electrical/instrumentation field whose duties include, but are not limited to the removal, repair and installation of electrical components and basic to intermediate troubleshooting.
