Read specifications, blueprints, and work orders to determine setups, temperatures, and time settings required to mold, form, or cast plastic materials, as well as to plan production sequences.

Connect water hoses to cooling systems of dies, using hand tools.

Remove parts, such as dies, from machines after production runs are finished.

Role Summary:
The Mold Technician is responsible for setting up and operating injection mold machines to cast product from raw material to final product, follow set production schedules, prepare required production documentation, and perform the overall inspection of parts.
Responsibilities:
+ Operate different types of injection mold machines.
+ Load existing programs onto machines.
+ Make adjustments to molding parameters by using necessary measuring equipment to product accurate parts.
+ Have good understanding of various types of tooling used in molding and their proper application.
+ Conduct basic preventative maintenance and rub basic diagnostics.
+ Conduct troubleshooting for basic symptoms on a variety of machines.
+ Ability to remove barrel on a variety of machines.
+ Remove and install mold bases.
+ Remove and change oil and oil filters on a variety of machines.
+ Complete production and inspection documentation.
Qualifications:
+ High School graduate or equivalent.
+ 1-3 years of related experience, preferred.
+ Know basic math concepts.
