+ Examines specifications of the customer’s order using drawings, work orders, or blueprints to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements.

+ Fabricates work piece as determined by work order specifications. Retrieves correct materials and performs various fabrication duties.

+ Examines work piece visually, by touch, or using tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure product meets desired standards.

+ Packages for shipping. Installs protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.

+ Maintains condition of work area (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.).

+ Follows company safety policies and procedures.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

**Nature and Scope**

+ Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.

+ Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.

+ None.

**Work Environment**

+ Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.

+ Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.

1. Perform FCAW (2G) welding. Be able to pass 2G test in FCAW on 1" thick coupon. Be able to pass 2G test in SMAW group 4 electrodes on 3/8" coupon.

2. Operate air arc to remove steel (back gouging).

3. Grind with 90° angle grinder.

4. Operate pendent controlled bridge crane safely and efficiently.

5. Read weld symbols and check weld size using weld fillet gauges.

6. Heat material to required temperature using temperature sticks and heating torch/cutting torch.

(read and follow pre-heart & interpass temperature tables.)

7. Set machines according to procedure charts.

8. Use air chipper to chip of slag.

9. Use natural gas tube heaters to pre-heat steel.

10. Operate stud welder.

11. Follow weld procedures as it applies to volts, amps & wire feed speed.

12. Heat, straighten and be able to know when to use pre-heat to offset distortion.

13. Meet requirement of Class "C" and "B" welders with greater efficiency.

14. Perform other duties as required by management.

The Fabricator Welder CII fabricates and welds various types of sheet metal using Metal Inert Gas (MIG), soldering, tacking, and brazing techniques. · Perform Technical Welding Operations (75%)

Set up and operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, soldering, tacking, and brazing) to meet production specifications. Interpret drawings, diagrams, and work instructions to align, fit, and fabricate parts, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Perform basic machine maintenance and use SAP to document materials and workflows.

Purpose:

To be a direct link between the Shop Supervisor and the shift team. The Lead Person assigns workload to complete daily fabrication needs and complies with all safety, quality, quantity, and shop housekeeping standards.

Your Responsibilities:

Must adhere to Nucor Rebar Fabrication safety programs and standards. Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication mission statement. Work with Branch Shop Manager in establishing daily work assignments to maximize shift operations. Purpose:

Support Field Superintendents, Shop Leads, Production Supervisor, Placing Manager, Branch Manager, and Regional Safety Supervisor on the implementation of field, shop, and office safety programs. Responsible for conducting field, shop, and office safety training, performing field and shop safety audits, investigating safety issues at jobsites, ensuring compliance with IIPP and other safety initiatives, contractors safety programs, and all applicable federal and state regulations applicable to safety.

Responsibilities:

+ Lead our safety performance, ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local safety, occupational health and environmental regulations, including OSHA.

+ Conduct training and culture-building activities with branch teammates to lead with safety in mind.

+ Collaborate with peer EHS teammates across Nucor Rebar Fabrication to ensure consistency across divisions and share best practices.

+ Work with JHSC on audits, program reviews, etc. and help to develop topics and other agenda items for the JHSC meetings.

+ Prepare content and ensure regular Toolbox and Safety Meetings are conducted.

+ Inspect facilities/sites, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards and to ensure safety regulation compliance.

+ Conduct safety and compliance inspections according to a defined schedule.

+ Spot check all safety logs, sign-off sheets, and other required and regulatory documents.

+ Maintain a Safety Inspection and Auditing Program.

+ Assist branch in performing annual safety reviews, PPE assessments, equipment certifications, etc.

+ Utilize Intelex to ensure all health and safety matters are documented and completed promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

+ Bachelor's degree related to Occupational Safety and Health/Environmental or 3 years experience in a related field.

+ Proficiency with common software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

+ Means and ability to travel within region to other branches; occasional travel outside of regions to participate in safety audits.

+ Understanding of OSHA and EPA laws and regulations affecting the industry.

+ Process Safety Management and Risk Management Plan experience.

Position Description

Kinder Morgan is one of the largest energy infrastructure in North America owning and operating approximately 79,000 miles of pipeline. We are currently looking to hire a Welder for our Pipeline Project Support Division.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Coordinate and complete welding, construction and maintenance tasks as part of a roving pipeline crew.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Perform pipe fabrication welds, in-service welds, tie-in welds and hot taps on steel pipelines that range in various sizes up to 42 O.D. on natural gas and products pipelines

+ Have knowledge of or possess experience in all phases of mobilizing, operating and maintaining heavy excavation equipment to include excavation frequently on in-service natural gas pipelines.

+ Read and interpret engineering construction blueprints for projects.

+ Scope, plan, estimate, track costs and schedule work and resources for projects.

+ Operate trucks, welding rigs and trailers for hauling equipment or project materials to job site.

+ Assist Pipeline Specialists in field checks prior to excavation.

+ Locate and mark pipelines with pipeline locating equipment or probe rods using drawing and alignment sheets for reference.

+ Inspect coating, remove coating and complete surface preparation for the application of coating for buried pipe service.

+ Calibrate and maintain a holiday detector for coating application inspection.

+ Perform ultrasonic thickness examinations.

+ Perform pipeline hot tap installations on in-service pipelines.

+ Review pressure test plans per pipe and material specifications.

+ Perform pressure tests of pipelines and fabrications.

+ Disassemble meter tubes and perform internal meter tube cleaning.

+ Repair pig launcher and receivers, closures and install pig signals.

+ Repair shorted pipeline casings and install CP test points on pipelines.

+ Evacuate, purge and load pipelines; operate pipeline air-movers to evacuate gas lines during hot work operations.

+ Install full encirclement sleeves for anomaly repairs.

+ Install mainline valve settings, valves and fittings.

+ Repair shorted pipeline casings and install CP test points on pipelines.

+ Modify existing and install new measurement facilities.

Must live or relocate to live (by position start date) within 60 miles of reporting location.
