    We are looking for a high energy Diesel Mechanic to join the team at our Hauling location at Right Away Disposal in Phoenix AZ .

    We want quality professionals and we are willing to pay for them, scale is $20-30 p/hr.

    Monday through Friday with some occasional Saturdays.
    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


    * Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services. Performs inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulics, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
    * Utilize vehicle computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
    * Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
    * Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
    * Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
    * Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
    * Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays as needed. 45 hours a week average.

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:


    * Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.

    Job Summary:

    Maintain knowledge of On-Highway truck brands for diesel, electrical, air, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems and their components.     Essential Functions:

      * Maintain mid to extensive working knowledge of Caterpillar, Empire Allied machinery, as well as other On-Highway manufacturer component functions. This will include but is not limited to; hydraulic, fuel, brakes, power train, air, and diesel engine systems.
      * Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.
      * Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
      * Maintain good customer relations and support for corporate marketing objectives.
      * Maintain company equipment – keep in good clean orderly condition and report deficiencies to supervisors.
      * Complete related paperwork and access databases;(work order, WIP, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS-Web, STW) required to complete jobs of Fuso and other On-Highway truck and trailer manufacturers, accurately and timely.
      * Maintain ability and experience to perform Federally Required DOT Annual Truck and Trailer inspections. Accurately complete required annual documentation. Education/ experience required by as defined by FMCSR 396.19

    Additional Responsibilities:

      * Own and maintain required personal tools.
      * Maintain current MSHA card if work area requires.
      * Provide on-the-job training to technicians and helpers as assigned.
      * Travel to remote locations and work overtime as needed.
