    As a Senior Field Service Technician, there is opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and a diverse group of people. How will you make an impact? By:

    + Providing field services to all Vyaire respiratory customers in a timely manner, including, but not limited to, installations, training, in-servicing, repair, preventative maintenance, calibration and sales support.

    + Maintaining an organized, proactive system of territory management, using current management reports and data provided; and accurate inventory of timely resolution following approved policies and procedures for Inventory Controls

    + Regularly interacting and providing outstanding customer service; ensure customer satisfaction is achieved when resolving customer/product issues and

    + Promoting and producing the sale of service contracts, new product sales, upgrades, parts, and billable labor revenue to meet established goals and guidelines.

    + Providing accurate and timely documentation that details field activity (FSR's), expenses, time distribution, and other information as needed. Maintaining company assets (car, tools and inventories) securely and in working order.

    To set up for day to day success, Vyaire is looking for candidates who have the following qualifications:

    + Minimum of an Associate Degree or equivalent military experience required and 5+ years of field service work experience.

    + Experience with medical device service, preferably with respiratory diagnostics and/or ventilation equipment repair and installation

    Additional qualifications that could help lead to success even further include:

    + IT experience supporting both proprietary and standard applications with emphasis on hands on experience in Hospital EMR/Integration projects, standard applications, and sophisticated medical equipment.

    Job Description

    Grand Canyon University is seeking a Commercial HVAC technician. The Commercial HVAC technician is responsible for performing installs, repairs, and maintenance to a variety of equipment including: air conditioning, electric motor, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, commercial furnaces, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, semi hermetic compressors, split systems, VAV systems, chilled water systems, air cooled and water cooled systems, and package units.

    Shift- Monday-Friday 7a-4p

    Position requires the skill/ability to work on chillers ranging from 160 ton through 500 ton systems, for example, the ability to make welds on the systems if needed, also the ability to use a navigator to go through the controls of the system to troubleshoot the electrical portions of our commercial system.

    Responsibilities:

    + Install, service, repair, maintain, operate and adjust for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and any other equipment including calibration of related instruments, gauges and controls.

    + Install, service, repair, maintain, operate and adjust all types of industrial, commercial mechanical refrigeration, ventilation, and ventilating equipment and air dryers.

    + Analyze, plan, and perform preventive maintenance of HVAC systems

    + Plan shutdowns for maintenance and repair pumps including chill water, heating water systems

    + Troubleshoot, repair and make modifications to HVAC systems

    + Perform refrigeration recovery, evacuation and charging

    + Conduct necessary tests, including standard industry approved trouble shooting methods to determine malfunctions and/or causes of breakdowns of all assigned equipment; remove, repair or replace faulty parts, subassemblies and major components; retest equipment with repaired or replaced components and make required adjustments and/or corrections to restore complete/proper operation.

    + Recommend and/or order necessary parts and supplies for installation, service, repair and maintenance of all assigned equipment.

    + Instruct and advise users of proper operation and maintenance of equipment.

    + Install additional electronic, electrical, plumbing to improve or enhance performance, or to adapt to existing systems.

    + Review work with State Inspectors, as required, to ensure compliance with State regulations.

    + Report, organize and maintain all necessary records of materials purchased/work performed to service, repair, maintain and operate all equipment, including applicable records/paperwork associated with EPA mandates and refrigerant transition/recovery.

    + Service, repair, calibrate, regulate, fine-tune, or test machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of electrical or electronic (not mechanical) principles.

    + Service, repair, adjust, and test machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical (not electronic) principles.

    + Perform general maintenance tasks as needed.

    + Perform and maintain work to local, state and Federal codes.

    + Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.

    + Attends classes and seminars (classroom or online) to update skills.

    Qualifications:

    + Minimum of five years’ experience at the journey level.

    + Must have certificate of completion for refrigerant transition/recovery and be certified as universal. (EPA)

    + Must have chiller training certifications: Carrier/York/Trane chiller experience 150 to 500 ton chillers

    + Work experience must involve all levels of refrigeration, ice machines, walk-ins, cold wells.

    + Ability to read, comprehend and follow refrigeration and electrical blueprints and schematics.

    + Thorough knowledge of heating, ventilation and electronic, electric and pneumatic control systems, as applicable to trade specialty.

    + Knowledge of local and national Fire Underwriters Code and ASHREA Standards for the refrigeration industry.

    + Thorough knowledge of materials, methods and hazards of the refrigeration trade with proficiency in the use of related tools.

    + Ability to perform delicate and intricate repairs.

    + Ability to climb ladders and work in high places and confined spaces.

    + Understands all types of HVAC systems and how each component within the system operates in conjunction with the other components and how that impacts the overall operations of the system as a whole.

    + Knowledge of ohms law, Ability to use multi meters to read voltage, current and resistance, must be able to troubleshoot advanced electrical systems both A/C and D/C

    + Understands the process of treating air so as to simultaneously control its temp, humidity, cleanliness and distribution

    + Knowledge of commercial mechanical and electrical systems.

    + Knowledge is mandatory of: principles of HVAC/R systems, controls, and components; combustion systems; air and water balancing; interpreting drawings and schematics; fundamentals of HVAC/R equipment and troubleshooting techniques; environmental regulations for fuels, refrigerants, and hazardous materials.

    + Knowledge of, and experience in, indoor air quality (IAQ) investigation and problem solving.

    + Able to read and understand Mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics

    + Knowledge of refrigeration, able to pass all state and local testing requirements

    + Ability to work weekends, holidays, or extended hours as needed and be in on call rotating pool to handle emergencies

    + Ability to proficiently handle work ticketing system and utilize computer to handle communication to management and/or customers.

    + Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

    + Must pass background check requirements

    Job Description

    Grand Canyon University is seeking a HVAC Technician for the installation, repairs, and overhauls of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and refrigeration equipment.

    The schedule for this position is Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00am - 6:00pm.

    Responsibilities:

    + Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.

    + Inspects and measures building to determine airflow requirements.

    + Plans and draws layout and dimensions of duct work.

    + Obtains price quotations on materials and purchases materials such as sheet metal, compressors, and fans, from suppliers and tests equipment to verify that equipment is functioning.

    + Schedules heating/air conditioning installation assignments.

    + Examines installed heating/air conditioning systems to verify that system is functioning.

    + Attends classes and seminars (classroom or online) on HVAC components and system design to update skills.

    + Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.

    + Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

    + Maintains time and production records.

    + Perform routine maintenance on residential and commercial systems.

    + Repairing/replacing system components, as needed.

    + On-call, 24/7 for HVAC duties; part of a rotating list of on-call personnel.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    + High School diploma or GED

    + 1-3 years of progressively responsible HVAC or refrigeration equipment installation, maintenance and repair experience.

    + Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

    + Refrigerant-handling certification at the Universal level.

    + Solid knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration.

    + Solid knowledge of repair, maintenance and installation techniques.

    + Skill in analyzing HVAC or refrigeration malfunctions from performance and test equipment readings and determining and performing appropriate repairs.

    + Must have all necessary tools and test equipment.

    + Available for on-call and rotating schedule.
