    JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE

    Facilitate all technical complex machining functions. Perform machining tasks to tight tolerance, minimize scrap and rework, perform PMs on regular basis, lead machine safety and workplace compliance requirements, demonstrate professional conduct at all times, maintain an inventory of tooling and fixtures, work effectively with vendors in ordering and acquiring tooling.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Safety

    * Comply with all PPE and job- or area-specific workplace safety requirements
    * Participate in scheduled Workplace cleaning activities
    * Properly use lockout/tagout procedures
    * Utilize Safety Data Sheets (SDS); follow basic emergency response procedures

    Quality

    * Audit operator tasks and assure compliance with standards or procedures

    Responsibilities

    Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY

    * Responsible for overseeing and performing scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance; inspections and corrosion control of aircraft components, airframe and powerplant; maintain appropriate aircraft records and logs.
    * Reports to the Maintenance Manager and or Site Manager.
    * Must be customer oriented.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

    * Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
    * Review work of subordinates to ensure the function/task is correct and complete and take corrective action and/or training if necessary.
    * Addresses employee questions and concerns presented within the work crew. If questions and concerns are not resolved, ensures that employee concerned is given the opportunity to seek further assistance through the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor,
    * Perform daily/post-flight/thru-flight inspections as required and performs necessary maintenance to correct any malfunctions.
    * Conduct off-station maintenance when required.
    * Effectively communicate with the customer in a courteous, professional manner and research any reported aircraft discrepancies through fault isolation to make repairs.
    * Service aircraft with fuel, oil, etc. in preparation for flight.
    * Maintain aircraft log books, status reports, historical and administrative data as required.
    * Comply with applicable Government and FAA rules and regulations on maintenance and follow appropriate aircraft technical data.
    * May be required to function as Safety/Training/Supply point of contact in the FBO concept at AOS-U or AOS-A site's.
    * May be required to exercise independent judgment and travel or relocate to other geographical locations including foreign countries.
    * May be required to have a security clearance and passport in the performance of duties.
    * Must be a US citizen and completed high school or equivalent.

    QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

    * Must have Three (3) years recent experience working full-time as an aircraft mechanic or (5) years of On Job Training.
    * Have a current FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
    * A thorough working knowledge in the repair and maintenance of airframes, hydraulics, fuel systems and aircraft engines.
    * Must be able to obtain a passport, visa and Government security clearance to support operations in foreign countries and deployments.
    * Must be able to work well with others or independently, predicated on the scope and depth of operations at specified sites.
    * Ability to physically perform climbing, stooping, stretching, etc. operations related to the job and lift up to 50 pounds.
    * Analytical abilities sufficient to handle complex technical and administrative details.
    * Must have the ability to communicate effectively and deal courteously and professionally with the customer.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSPhysical Demands:
    This classification activity is usually accomplished in a office/hangar/flight line environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with office/hangar/flight line activities. May be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Service Technicianperform terminal and electrical service, equipment and system repair, maintenance, testing and installation tasks to a variety of customers and facilities. Troubleshoot and repair or replace wiring circuits for lighting and lighting/system controls, computerized motor controls, programmable controllers and other related electrical equipment. Troubleshoot and repair or replace a variety of electrical systems and apparatus including lighting circuits, street/parking lot illumination devices, and pump stations. Identify and acquire parts for replacement, maintenance and other work required in accordance with established procurement procedures. Wire, connect, test and maintain new service or systems. Respond to scheduled or emergency situations as assigned.

    A Service Technician will:


    * Troubleshoot and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment.
    * Prepare sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring
    * Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications.
    * Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications, safety codes and local electrical codes.
    * Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
    * Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures. Perform physically demanding tasks while conveying knowledge of basic/specialized tools and equipment throughout service job/work order process.

    Qualifications

    Job Summary

    Responsible to lead the Maintenance staff and to carry out the mission, goals and objectives of Air Methods. Responsible for daily operations of all aircraft maintenance services and to assure all AP Mechanics make safety their number one priority.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

    • Provide input to staff evaluations as requested by Area Manager/RCM.
    • Responsible for auditing program maintenance locations for aviation parts and supplies, tool calibrations, safety concerns and all other base needs to ensure prompt repairs for operational readiness.
    • Receives feedback related to flight issues/concerns, to include RSQ911 feedback; assists in resolution of issue and/or refers matter to appropriate person for resolution.

    • Responsible for thorough knowledge of Air Methods General Maintenance Manual, field Mechanics Procedures manual, Air Methods’ policies and procedures as well as meeting operational goals and objectives.
    • Responsible for validating or confirming the data in the Status Report concerning the aircraft being worked on including:
    o Ensure discrepancies discovered by the aircraft Records department are appropriately addressed
    o Verify all changes are made by the Inspections and Records Department upon receipt of an updated Status Report.
    o Verify accuracy of the Status Report regarding compliance of FAA required inspections, Ads, and service bulletins/service letters issued by Air Methods’ Certificate Management Team or Engineering
    o Verify accuracy of the Status Report regarding required inspections and servicing intervals and currency.
    o Verify accuracy of the Status Report to the actual configuration of the aircraft regarding Part Number (P/N), Serial Number (S/N), and Total Time/Time Since Overhaul (TT/TSO) of the time-tracked assemblies and components
    • Schedule aircraft maintenance and provide Area Manager and RMM/RMD with current aircraft status and forecast down time to facilitate maintenance scheduling.
    • Participate in maintenance forecasting calls with the assigned corporate planners, monitor “HY” packages as they are assigned and provide scheduling input for all components and rotable items.
    • Troubleshoot and provide assistance in problem solving to outlying mechanics.
