    The primary focus of this task order is to provide the customer with test services in accordance with USSOCOM Directives\. The work includes operational test and evaluation, capabilities assessments, limited user assessments, and test and evaluation advisement\.

    Performs analytical work in support of testing and evaluation of various intelligence, surveillance, communication and tracking systems\. This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher\-level technician\. An Electronics Technician Maintenance I on SRSE customer test follows and applies common Test and Evaluation \(T&E\) processes that identify requirements, verify user needs, develop evaluation approach, collect data, analyze data, and report on findings\. Analyzes and evaluates SRSE system Suitability, Effectiveness, and Survivability\. Must be able to review, analyze, and interpret data that is unique to each System Under Test \(SUT\) technical report writing, and effective communications with the customer base\.

    Relies on manual methods and automated test tools to execute the operational assessment and collect data\. Inspects, tests, and measures data that is produced or consumed\. Must be able to document, notify, brief, and discuss results\. Records all initial findings and documents final test results in a designated Operational Test Report\. Accounts for anomalies and errors found in testing, notifies customers and management, and may help analyze and/or correct problems\.

    **Qualifications**

    Education and Experience:

    + Secret security clearance is required at time of hire\.

    + Requires High School Diploma and 3 years' experience, or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

    Essential Functions

    Work Environment

    Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task\. An inside environment may be a cubicle \(considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting\)\. Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates\. Regular outside work includes hiking long distances over uneven or rough terrain\. Needs to be able to work well with co\-workers, customer, and all levels of management\. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions\. Work site is located in Ft\. Huachuca, AZ\. Travel is required and applicant must be able to travel at least 1 week a month and up to four weeks at a time\. Additional travel may be required depending on mission requirements\.

    Physical Requirements

    JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE

    This position requires a vigorous safety orientation and application of advanced electrical / electronic skills. It includes a variety of objectives such as keeping electrical equipment and control instruments in good repair and safe operating condition; installing and maintaining complex electrical equipment; setting up, adjusting, and maintaining process control equipment; developing and designing electrical and electronic circuits, diagrams, and schematics for existing equipment upgrades and modifications; and assisting with mechanical maintenance involving new equipment installation and facility improvements or additions.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


    * Develops or designs electronic circuits for equipment or system upgrades and modifications; designs electrical diagrams and schematics for facility modifications, equipment installations, and new facilities
    * Develops programs for microprocessor/computer based process controllers to perform to process specifications; troubleshoots and repairs control circuits to maintain on-line service of controllers
    * Installs, troubleshoots, makes alterations, and maintains panels and related equipment including control and all types of starting equipment, relays, contractors, variable speed controllers, furnace and heating circuits, and all types of transformers and safety indicators
    * Builds new instrument or electrical systems from sketches, diagrams, or prints
