    JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE

    Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position will operate specific machining equipment in the Large Press Machining work area; it will support the machining process and the success of the team by operating the equipment in a safe and mechanically responsible manner, working diligently to produce high-quality parts in a timely manner, and collaborating with others in the work area to maintain a friendly, respectful, and productive work environment.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    General Activities:


    * Operate all necessary equipment and machines as directed and with a minimum of quality problems
    * Maintain positive workplace relationships with other employees
    * Work to develop skills such that advancement to the next higher position is possible within 2-3 years

    + Setup of machines through use of proper tools, and the most efficient technique. Align vises, fixtures with indicator to be parallel or square to a reference surface.     + Participate in the update and maintenance of set up sheets for all parts through the work center.

    Will be responsible for maintaining the company’s buildings, facilities and equipment in an operating and functional condition. Performs a variety of skilled maintenance activities to maintain the condition and appearance of facility buildings and systems in accordance with established standards. Under limited supervision, ensures that maintenance practices are in compliance with appropriate safety and regulatory requirements.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    + Electrical repairs or installations.

    + Fleet vehicle repairs

    + Plumbing

    + Welding

    + Carpentry, painting and plastering

    + Masonry

    + Machine servicing

    + General mechanical maintenance (e.g. Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning or HVAC and sheet metal).

    + Operate equipment.

    + Perform periodic checks and minor repairs of computerized fire alarm and security systems.

    + Perform repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on buildings and facilities, equipment, fixtures, and systems.

    + Troubleshoot, repairs, and maintains facility systems.
