    About the Maintenance Technician Role

    We’re looking for a talented maintenance technician who will be responsible for addressing an array of apartment and property maintenance duties as specified by the maintenance supervisor and/or property manager, and for maintaining the highest standards in customer service and curb appeal of the assigned property.

    Maintenance Technician Responsibilities and Objectives

    + Perform various maintenance functions including repairs to the following: electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, grounds maintenance as dictated by state guidelines.

    + Perform general carpentry duties such as wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, and ceramic tile repair.

    + Perform various proactive preventative maintenance including siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool, golf-cart, elevator and more.

    + Maintain work order system by verifying all orders are completed in a timely manner to company standards and the resident’s satisfaction.

    + Inspect the property grounds, buildings, and common area amenities to maintain safety and cleanliness standards and to identify issues requiring maintenance, repair or replacement.

    + Assist with property emergencies, such as snow removal and/or other inclement weather emergencies, fires, and floods.

    + Promptly communicate with maintenance leadership concerning all maintenance issues at the property.

    + Observe and promote safety and risk management in accordance with local, federal, state, and company rules and regulations.

    + Participate in emergency on-call/after-hours maintenance assignments; adhering to established response times and addresses emergency issues appropriately.

    Education and Experience

    Job Summary:


    * In this role, your primary responsibilities include machine maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and improvement of complex plastics processing and ancillary equipment.     Overview

    The Field Service Technician assists with on-site installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of telecommunications products and equipment that TDS sells and leases.

    This position has direct, face-to-face contact with our customers and is expected to be proactive with the sales of TDS services and products. Services include, but are not limited to, Telephony, Video/CATV/DBS, Internet, and/or high speed networks. This position exceeds customer expectations by performing extraordinary customer service, identifying customer needs, and providing them with communications solutions. This position also understands how to use and demonstrate TDS products and seeks sales opportunities while educating the customer. Products & services include (but are not limited to): Local Service, Central Office Services, Structured Cabling, MAC (Moves, Adds and Changes), Voice Mail, Audio and/or Video Conferencing and Non-regulated CPE.

    Responsibilities


    Assists with and performs on-site installing, troubleshooting, testing, splicing, repairing, and maintaining telephone equipment and general network equipment, customer premise equipment, Video/CATV/DBS, fiber optic/copper facilities and/or other TDS products & services for new and existing customers. Identifies location of defective cable using various test equipment and repairs buried, aerial, underground and/or customer cable. Locates cable and fiber in response to customer requests and/or construction needs. Pole climbing and operating construction equipment is required. Locates, identifies and marks company underground and buried facilities to prevent facilities from being damaged. Keeps orderly log of all locate requests in our exchange area. Performs cable fault acceptance tests on newly constructed facilities.
    * Assists with and provides troubleshooting support techniques and corrections. Responds to “trouble” dispatches.
    * Assists with and provides support for enhancing and maintaining record systems (cross connects, line groups, network elements, etc.).
    * Provides excellent customer service. Proactively educates and sells TDS products and services to customers.
    * Gain working knowledge of RUS Standards and Grounding practices associated with splicing and maintenance of outside plant facilities and equipment.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    Field Service Technician:


    * Technical Certification (or higher) –OR- 6+ months experience working with Low Voltage, Electrical or Utility Construction -OR- current or prior military service with honorable discharge.
    * Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) may be required.

    FST - Network:


    * Associate degree (or higher) with 2+ years basic technical telecommunications experience -OR- 4+ years technical experience with telecommunications products and/or services -OR- current or prior military service with honorable discharge.
    * 6+ months of basic fiber optic and/or copper cable splicing and repair, installation and repair or switch training.
    * Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) may be required.

    Other Qualifications:


    * Upon hire, must successfully complete customer-specific requirements, which may include a background check administered by the customer.
    * Requires on-call/standby responsibilities. On-call requires carrying a pager and/or cell phone, being available to report to work (24 hours a day) and remain in a limited geographic area.

The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is at times loud.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The SUPERVISOR INSTALLER is the direct representative to the customer's foremen and engineers; balancing KGPCo's resources with customer expectations and requirements. The SUPERVISOR INSTALLER is responsible to the Manager Operations for project financial and resource allocation for projects assigned to the associated area of responsibility or turf. The SUPERVISOR INSTALLER reports directly to the Manager Operations. Reporting to the SUPERVISOR INSTALLER may be one or more Foremen or lead installers. The SUPERVISOR INSTALLER coordinates manpower and the efforts of these subordinates with the engineers, warehousing and delivery, and the quality auditors to maximize efficiencies and customer satisfaction of every telecommunication equipment installation.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned:

    * Monthly aircrew qualification level summary (also known as the “Letter of X’s”).
    * Copy of in-work and final documents to Wing Current Operations (OSS/OSO) and Wing Stan/Eval (OGV), no later than (NLT) the last day of each month.
    * Monthly/quarterly Ready Aircrew Program (RAP) reports and RAP inputs to Wing OSS Training each quarter.
    * RAP reporting per the current RAP tasking message.
    * Monthly summary of aircrew probation/regression status.
    * Grade Book report.

    * Coordinate with senior squadron leadership on a daily and weekly basis to build long- and short-range schedules to ensure full coverage of all pilots and aircrew, instructors, evaluators, support personnel, and supervisor positions.
