**Job Description**

Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically one year of software engineering or related experience.

We are looking for a **Network Operations Center Manager** to lead our network operations center in United States. The role will lead a team of network engineers to support 24x7 network operations of Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure as part of the Global Network Operations Center organization. We need a strong leader to build and lead an engineering organization. You must be passionate about operations and the customer experience.

You should be comfortable supporting distributed systems that interact with a variety of services. Work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Growing and developing a new team of hardworking and motivated engineers while establishing high expectations around individual ownership and impact.

+ Setting direction for the team, anticipate strategic and scaling-related challenges via thoughtful long-term planning, and in overall business objectives

+ Build relationships with other OCI service leads to drive effective integrations and escalations

+ Building an effective organization, coaching and mentoring engineers, and representing your organization to senior leadership

**Desired Skills and Experience:**

+ 5+ years of experience in large scale physical network support

+ 3+ years of experience in an engineering and operations management role

+ Experience in a technical leadership and management role

+ Experience driving hiring, onboarding new engineers and ongoing performance management

+ Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences including senior leadership

+ Excellent judgment to influence product roadmap direction, features, and priorities

+ Prior experience with large scale datacenter operations

+ Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Hardware Engineering or related field
