Job Description - Student Intern, Procurement & Contracts
Position-Related Responsibilities
Performs administrative functions in support of the Procurement & Contracts department including: engaging with vendors, contract renewals, building reports, analyzing and presenting to department management results, developing Power Point presentations, scheduling meetings, and working on special projects.
Must possess functional knowledge of all Microsoft Office products, including Excel spreadsheets, word processing, Power Point, and presentation software.
Ability to collect, compile and analyze data and present findings.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups across functional lines.
Position requires demonstrated poise, tact, diplomacy and a willingness to function in a solution oriented capacity.
This position may provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and the related Policies and Procedures.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must be pursuing a Bachelors degree with a graduation date no earlier than May 2025.
Must be able to work a minimum of 15 – 20 hours per week during regular business hours; and 20 – 40 hours a week during the summer and school breaks.
Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
Student Interns must maintain the required hours for full-time student status, good academic standing at their college or university, as defined by the college or university and the GPA required for graduation by their college or university.
Failure to maintain full-time status, good academic standing and/or the requisite GPA will result in Student Interns being deemed ineligible for participation in this program.
Pay Rate: $17.00 + Dependent on experience and qualifications.
