**POSITION SUMMARY:** The IT Project Manager is a role within the IT-PMO department at Republic Services responsible to drive results independently, work collaboratively with other functional stakeholders, and to deliver IT projects on time and within budget.

**PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Manages projects with some interdependencies to other systems and projects.

+ Creates project schedules and plans and works with functional leads to secure resources.

+ Accountable for projects completing within schedule baseline.

+ Creates risk management plan and strategies to enhance, avoid, transfer, or mitigate the risk.

+ Drives results independently with minimal supervision.

+ Evaluates change requests and makes recommendations to accept, deny, or defer the change.

+ Creates and manages project budgets. Manages project costs to ensure project completes within cost baseline.

+ Facilitates project meetings and communicates with the project team, sponsor, and functional managers.

+ Mentors project coordinators and less experienced staff in business processes and project management.

+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

+ Solid understanding of project management methodologies and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

+ Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) preferred

+ Proficient in the use of project management software.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience managing IT projects utilizing Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid Methodologies.
