The Boeing Company is looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer in one of our locations to include Mesa AZ or Colorado Springs, CO.

This position will support the Boeing Advanced Ground Architecture (AGA) organization. We are seeking software engineers to be innovators and leaders in the development of our nation’s next generation of satellite and space flight ground systems.

This program seeks skilled and motivated software developers who want to take their skills to the next level through hands-on development on a diverse multi-disciplined team of engineers, using the latest tools and methodologies for multiple long-term satellite ground system projects, in both commercial and government realms.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

+ Developing, documenting and maintaining architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems

+ Performing software lifecycle management and software supplier management functions

+ Developing, selecting, tailoring and deploying software processes, tools and metrics

+ Developing software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, completing the test procedures and detailing test results to ensure software system requirements are met

+ Performing and detailing software research and development projects

+ Aiding with software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, as well as with the execution of test procedures and documentation of test results to ensure software system requirements are met

+ Growing into as an authority for one or more software domains and specialties

**This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.**

**This position requires obtaining and maintaining an U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required).**

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree

+ 3 or more years of experience in software development using Java

+ 3 or more years of experience working with Unix/Linux distributions

+ 3 or more years of experience in a collaborative team environment using agile principles and a structured development process including code reviews and automated DevOps processes/tools

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Flight/Spacecraft Dynamics knowledge

+ Software architecture experience

+ Satellite Ground Operations experience

+ Experience preparing design review materials (PDR, CDR, IDR, etc)

+ Experience understanding and deriving software requirements

+ An active USG TS/SCI with SSBI clearance is highly desired

**Typical Education/Experience:**

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

**Relocation:**

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

**Pay Range Summary:**

Level 3 $104,000 - $151,800
