Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join our legal department. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a public company in aviation law and support our legal team in various aspects of our operations. The ideal candidate is interested in corporate law, aviation, possesses strong analytical skills, and is eager to learn and contribute to our team. This is a remote position with one-on-one training with our team paralegal.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to aircraft operations, leasing, and procurement.
2. Support attorneys in managing corporate governance matters, including entity formation, regulatory filings, and corporate governance documents.
3. Assist in the review, negotiation, and execution of vendor agreements, service contracts, and other business agreements.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and finance to support legal compliance and mitigate risks.
5. Assist in the investigation and resolution of legal issues, disputes, and claims.
6. Maintain accurate and organized legal files and documentation.
7. Conduct legal research on aviation regulations, compliance requirements, securities compliance, corporate governance, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:
1. Currently enrolled in final semesters or recent graduate of a paralegal program.
2. Strong academic record.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
5. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently.
6. Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
7. Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
9. Previous internship or work experience in aviation law or related field is a plus, but not required.

Duration and Compensation: This is a 6 month internship position with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs. The internship is paid, and hours are part-time depending on availability and scheduling preferences.
