**Basic Function:**

The **Content Editor** will support the development and maintenance of specialized embedded content to support our proprietary drug file, drug-interactions, duplicate therapy, drug-allergy, and additional ancillary databases.

This position will carry out the following responsibilities:

+ Participates in the timely maintenance and quality assurance of specialized embedded drug ingredient content to support proprietary international and domestic databases.

+ Support maintenance of additional clinical databases such as Drug-Lab Conflict, Master Parameters, IV-Chek, and Clinical DataFacts.

+ Participate in creating and maintaining high quality ingredient mapping concepts consistent with the format and structure of the databases.

+ Utilizes multiple data sources as well as clinical and technical expertise to create relevant, clinically meaningful data used in clinical screening.

+ Analyze data to inform customer needs and optimize clinical solutions.

+ Support responding to customer inquiries and issue resolution.

**Essential Duties**

+ Represents Wolters Kluwer Health - CE in a positive, professional, and customer focused manner. Treats fellow employees and customers in a Fair, Honest, Responsive, and Results-oriented manner.

+ Responsible for creating and revising accurate and relevant drug ingredient content (e.g., KDC maintenance, DDID ingredient sets, etc.) to support proprietary databases consistent with the format and structure of the database. Maintains consistency within the database with respect to the association of concepts.

+ Creates, validates, documents, and works to continually improve complex processes (e.g., KDC maintenance, combination moiety process, IV Chek, Clinical DataFacts maintenance, etc.).

+ Participates in copyediting review of pharmacist documents and clinical content and originates consumer-friendly drug interaction summaries based on that content.

+ Submits work for collaborative peer review and responds appropriately to comments and criticisms. As a member of the team, critically, professionally, and thoroughly reviews the work of others to prompt improvements in clarity, accuracy, and accessibility to information across the spectrum of healthcare providers. Identifies and corrects omissions or errors in the data.

+ Key participant and subject matter expert involving the KDC hierarchy as well as other drug screening databases.

+ Develops and maintains strong relationships with cross-CE colleagues and international contractors, as appropriate. Cultivates and maintains relationships with individuals in specialty areas that can help improve WKH-CE content.

+ Provides a high level of customer service by offering customer and client support on an as needed basis. Responds in a timely and accurate manner to inquiries regarding product data.

+ Produces timely and accurate reports. Participates in the collection of data regarding updates (source, nature of update, and timing of response/integration) and reliably maintains data in existing workflow tools. Facilitates the documentation and reporting of quality issues per corporate policy.

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field preferred, or equivalent experience (i.e., completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Science Program or 2+ years’ experience with drug data in place of a degree)

**Required Experience:**

+ 2+ years’ experience with drug data analysis, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), or as a Pharmacy Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist.

+ Professional certification and/or licensure in any state in good standing.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

**Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Certifications:**

+ Knowledge of SQL

+ Knowledge of LOINC

+ Advanced level skills with Excel

+ Experience working with development and engineering teams.

+ Experience collaborating with teams employing agile/scrum methodology.

+ Experience with/knowledge of pharmacy practice-related regulations, standards, and quality initiatives

**Travel requirements** :

5% travel within the United States via car and air to conferences and other CE office sites
