**Description & Qualifications**

Description

Learning Experience Designers (LXDs) are responsible for producing thorough, high-quality documentation that supports UKG product lines. They create concepts, tasks, and reference topics to compose concise, audience-targeted, learner-centric documentation. LXDs will:

-Write multi-purpose, technical content for a variety of end-deliverables, including release notes, online help, PowerPoint slides, job aids, user guides, and additional deliverables as appropriate.

-Learn complex business software or possess a detailed knowledge of UKG products and their concepts.

-Support deadline-driven software release cycles and create documentation from technical specifications or knowledge-transfer sessions with Product Managers or Business Analysts.

-Maintain their documentation as new enhancements are released to improve existing functionality.

-Work with developers and product managers to understand the functionality of the product.

-Work with stakeholders and editors to draft and revise content.

-Collect feedback and metrics from end-users, when possible, to maintain and direct the creation of new materials.

-Provide feedback on user interface text and error messages in the product, as requested.

-Analyze user consumption metrics to improve content findability and maintenance strategies.

Qualifications

-BA/BS degree or higher in area related, but not limited, to: technical communications/writing, instructional systems development (ISD), content management, computer science, or demonstrated equivalent industry experience in any/all these areas.

-Experience in technical writing, preferably in Pay/Tax areas.

-Understand the hierarchy and structure required of content and how publishing templates affect final outputs.

-Experience with content management systems, including an understanding of single-sourcing, and metadata.

-Experience using HTML, DITA, and XML. Has a background in content -development, training, and/or education with knowledge of adult learning theory.

-Synthesize information from multiple sources and produce content that can be delivered in multiple formats.

-Display an increased ability to reuse content across deliverables.

-Possess a deeper understanding of the functionality of the content management system (CMS) and uses it more effectively.

**Pay Transparency for Colorado, New York, Washington and California**

The pay range for this position in Colorado, New York, Washington and California is $60,500 to $86,950, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.

San Francisco Bay Area Pay Law

There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area, the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $69,575 to $99,993 per year.
