The Genetics Auditor performs clinical audit/validation processes to ensure that medical record documentation and diagnosis coding for services rendered is complete, compliant and accurate to support optimal reimbursement. Contributes to the investigations of fraud waste and our financial recovery. The Genetics Auditor work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

**Where you Come In**

The Genetics Auditor contributes to overall cost reduction, by increasing the accuracy of provider contract payments in our payer systems, and by ensuring correct claims payment. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Role includes review of suspected overpayments and underpayments to determine appropriate payment amounts based on the Genetics Auditor's expertise in their field.

**WORK STYLE:** Remote/Work at Home. Very rare travel/on sites for meetings, conferences, and/or trainings.

**WORK HOURS:** Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day, 5 days/week. Typical business hours range between 5AM-7PM EST (8 hours/day within those boundaries)

**Required Qualifications - What it takes to Succeed**

+ Bachelor's Degree

+ Genetic Counselor License

+ Minimum of 5 years work experience reading and interpreting medical claims

+ Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

+ Strong attention to detail

+ Skilled in data and/or situational analysis

+ Can work independently and determine appropriate courses of action

+ Ability to handle multiple priorities

+ Capacity to maintain confidentiality

+ Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

+ Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience in Financial Recovery

+ Experience using the following systems: CAS, MTV, CISpro and CIS

+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs Access and Project

+ Experience in a fast paced, metric driven operational setting

+ Bilingual in Spanish and English

**Work at Home Requirements**

**Pay Range**

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$84,600 - $116,300 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
