Job Description

VCA Valley Animal Hospital & Emergency Center is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our Surgery Department.

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and client care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.

In addition to excellent communication skills, the Surgery Department values:

+ Thorough knowledge and understanding of specialty surgery; and comfort with creating and discussing treatment plans/costs with clients

+ Attention to detail and self-motivated

+ Passion for attentive client care & pride in providing an honest/positive client experience

+ Skilled in developing, maintaining, and enhancing referring clinic relationships

+ Ability to work with & within the various teams in the hospital (Primary Care, Emergency, Internal Medicine, Dentistry, ICU, Exotics)

Compensation varies based on education, experience, and current AZ CVT license: $17 - 24/hour (includes scale for licensed & unlicensed associates). VTS compensation negotiable.

CE allowance: CVT $750/year, VTS $1000/year

Typical schedule for this department is:

Monday - Thursday 7a-5p; however flexible schedule availability & the ability to work occasional holidays & weekends are a must.
