Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned

Quality:

+ Perform all inspections as required by job router

+ Maintain, update and reform the Quality Manual, procedures, work instructions and Monthly Quality Reports

+ Work with Production Leadership and Team Members in defining quality standards

+ Lead the internal audit process, required customer required audits, and PPAP process

Education:

Required - High School Graduate

Preferred – Bachelors Degree

Preferred – Aerospace Quality experience

Job Skills and Abilities:

Job Knowledge/ Judgment – Possess the practical/ technical knowledge required on the job (including basic math ability and understanding of mechanical principles used in sheet metal fabrication. Able to read and interpret blueprints. Mechanical ability. Basic computer skills.) Uses equipment effectively, and general understanding of production, work process and operations. Demonstrates proper decision-making skills when needed. Dependability – Punctual, observes prescribed work breaks/ meal periods and has an acceptable overall attendance record.

Physical Demands and Physical Environment:

The physical demands and physical environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

The employee must be able to frequently stand up to two to three hours continuously. The employee is occasionally required to sit, walk, climb stairs, bend, and stoop. The employee must be able to reach and grasp cut parts repeatedly throughout the day. The employee is regularly required to lift 45 lbs minimum and up to 60 by self and up to 120 lbs. In a “buddy” lift.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to communicate verbally.

While working in this position, the employee will be exposed to fabrication shop conditions including exposure to dirt, dust, and noise. Extremes of heat or cold are common as is exposure to solvents and electrical energy. Employees must work around machinery with moving parts and mobile vehicles. Employees work closely with others. Some overtime is required, depending on demand and management discretion.
