A Sr. Principal Systems Engineer job is available with our client in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role you will be responsible for participating in requirements analysis and management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, trade studies, systems integration and test (verification) in the development and evaluation of networks and information systems. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field and a minimum of 10+ years of job-related experience. Due to the nature of the work performed in this facility, US citizenship is required.

Sr. Principal Systems Engineer Job Duties:

* Performs customer requirements analysis, develops system requirements and defines allocations to lower levels (elements and components).

* Performs detailed technical analyses for a subsystem or system elements.

* Develops and evaluates systems, networks and information systems to ensure designs meet applicable governmental security specifications.

* Participates in Modeling and Simulation.

* Identifies, analyzes and resolves system design weaknesses.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field and a minimum of 10+ years of job-related experience.

* Substantial use, understanding and tailoring of systems engineering concepts, principles and theories.

* Substantial proficiency with requirements management & system modeling tools.

* Ability to recognize various architectural patterns, apply them appropriately, understand strengths/weaknesses within those architectures and develop architectural variations as necessary.

* CI/CD pipeline development.

* DevSecOps experience with some of the following platform/tools: AWS, GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, or Terraform.

* Test automation.

* Missile Warning/Missile Tracking system integration, test, operations experience.

* Familiar with Agile philosophies and processes.
