Description Expand your skill-set at a challenging position at a well-known company as a Payroll Clerk. Robert Half is looking to fill the position of a Payroll Clerk for one of our clients to join their dynamic, quickly-expanding team. This position will require a variety of tasks to support the Payroll department such as data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. Being able to effectively communicate with both internal team members and outside customers is crucial to succeeding on this dynamic, fast-growing team. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is based in the Globe, Arizona area and is a long-term contract / temporary to hire employment role.

What you get to do every single day

- Run and build custom reports

- Administer instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.

- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system

- Compile a system of administering and distributing reports

- Conduct clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc

- Reach out to employees via phone and email to obtain timesheet approvals

- Update data into spreadsheets and the payroll system Requirements - Skillful in learning new processes and systems

- Previous payroll experience

- Efficient in Payroll software

- Excellent oral and written communications skills

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must

- Comprehensive knowledge of payroll

- Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

- Outstanding data entry skills
