Production Payroll Specialist (SUNDAY - THURSDAY)

**Primary Function**

The person in this role will join a larger Accounting and Payroll team, utilizing their expertise in film or television production, stage and screen support, domestic wage and hour law, and payroll process to support individual customers and contracts as part of a creative and technical staffing company.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

+ Review and approve weekly timekeeping and payroll for domestic US operations

+ Speak with employees to answer questions regarding aspects of pay, including explaining pay statements and withholdings

+ Manage and oversee spend and approvals on corporate credit card accounts, cash advances, and production petty cash

+ Support aspects of Accounts Payable for Independent Contractors, including entering invoices and researching payment inquiries

+ Organize pay groups, make recommendations for short- and long-term process enhancements

+ Prepare reporting, as required by Client, Accounting, and Operations staff

+ Other duties as assigned

**Skills & Qualifications**

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to interact easily, politely, and efficiently with employees, managers, remote vendors, and client stakeholders

+ Ability to work independently within deadlines with minimal supervision

+ Superior organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment are essential

+ Requires accuracy, attention to detail and recognition of confidentiality when dealing with personal data

+ Demonstrates knowledge of FLSA, and requirements for processing payroll in multiple states

+ Familiarity with production industry standards

+ Familiarity with processing union payroll

+ Experience with enterprise payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, Paycom or similar

+ Proficient in general math and accounting principles

+ Proficient with Excel and MS Office tools Note

**Education & Experience**

+ 5+ years’ experience in payroll

+ 3+ years’ experience in production, television, or film industry payroll management

+ SHRM, FPC, CPP certification is a plus

+ Associates Degree in Business, Accounting, Marketing, or related field preferred
