Company Overview

JOB SUMMARY :

Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Sr Accountant is responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. This position maintains and balances general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies. The Sr Accountant will also assist with the annual audit and other ad hoc projects as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

1. Keeps records to ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.

2. Maintains and balances accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.

3. Reviews and analyzes financial statements for discrepancies or other issues. Applies professional judgment in the performance of the role.

4. Assists with the annual audit by providing supporting schedules and answering questions as applicable.

5. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with all levels of management and key stakeholders. Supports our field operations and other departments by answering questions and providing requested information timely.

6. Assist with other ad hoc projects as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling a high-volume workload dealing with priorities & deadlines.• Must have strong Excel skills including knowledge of Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization utilizing various communication methods (calls, emails, text messages) by having excellent verbal and communication skills.• Must be team-oriented with effective interpersonal skills that allow successful business interactions with individuals of a variety of work styles, personalities, and career levels.• Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.

Education or equivalency:

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.

Experience:

• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Specialized training:

• Public accounting experience preferred

Certification/licensure:

• CPA preferred
