Microsoft Cloud Operations & Innovation is seeking an Energy Program Manager 2 to support the global Energy and Renewable Energy Team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in developing the processes and tools necessary to streamline our global operations.

In this role you will bring your ability to develop industry-leading solutions that combine knowledge of business process flow, financial compliance and regulations, and attention to detail to support the business operations of Microsoft Global Energy Team. You will be expected to work with Energy Team members and other business stakeholders, to create new operational functionality and to give insight and clarity into Energy Financials, oversee CapEx/Opex budgeting/forecast, and lead the Vendor Budgeting Cycle. You will have end-to-end governance across business functions, and will be expected to maintain documentation for flow, controls, underlying systems, and requirements as needed.

+ This role is located in - Atlanta, GA, Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ.

+ Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates must ​relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.

+ This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 100%.

**Responsibilities**

Program Management

+ Supports internal cross-functional partnerships by maintaining awareness of and resolving internal partners' issues and challenges, influencing near-term sourcing decisions by sharing similar details with others teams, and adhering to established processes and governance for on-boarding and managing supplier partnerships to ensure continuity of supply in alignment with product and/or service roadmaps with minimal guidance or need for escalation.

Sourcing Operations

+ Evaluates segments of supply chain operations and sourcing data to inform cross-functional decision making that enables continuous supply of products, components, and/or materials as needed to meet business and consumer demand with minimal guidance.

Technical Engagement

+ Supports early technical engagements with cross-functional leadership including product design, quality, and business teams to consult on and influence sourcing decisions and requirements with minimal guidance.

**Qualifications**

**Required Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 2+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles

+ OR Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles

+ OR equivalent experience.

**Other Requirements:**

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

+ Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 5+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles

+ OR Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 3+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles

+ OR equivalent experience.

+ Experience managing large-scale projects with minimal direction.

+ Experience with the datacenter industry and cloud infrastructure.

+ Experience supporting site selection and acquisition activities for datacenters or other industrial projects.

+ Understanding and experience with planning activities in the energy and utility industry.

Sourcing Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
