Job Description

* Assist with month-end close including accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets.

* Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for period-end close.

* Prepare the WIP schedule in compliance with ASC 606.

* Assist in preparing accurate and timely financial reports and ensure appropriate accounting procedures and controls.

* Understand and apply relevant accounting guidance and principles.

* Track and monitor Accounts Receivable.

* Recommend process improvements within the department and lead efforts to continuously improve accounting processes.

* Correspond with various departments to compile financial data to ensure accurate and timely period end reporting.

* Assist in coordinating the preparation and compilation of year-end reporting, financial statements, and reconciliations for CPA firm.

* Support annual budget preparation and monitoring.

* Ad Hoc Projects -- contribute to special projects and tasks as assigned.

* May perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, CPA a plus.

* 3 years of accounting experience required; preferably in the construction industry.

* Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to follow up and resolve problems.

* Must be self-directed and able to prioritize work to meet deadlines.

* Proficiency in MS Office products and advanced Microsoft Excel.

* Ability to easily assimilate information and learn new applications and processes.

* Strong accounting, analytical, and organizational skills.

* Ability to work independently and collaborate well with others.

* Construction experience strongly preferred.

* Vista Viewpoint experience a plus.

* Strong integrity and work ethic are critical.

* Ability to work on-site with regular, reliable attendance. null
