Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified Software Engineering Intern to join our dynamic software development team in Tucson, Arizona. The duties performed in this position include developing user interface screens for the EAGLE Maintenance Management Information System, creating custom reports, creating dashboards, and translating user requirements into new software solutions. The employee will work with customers and team members to troubleshoot and solve problems, develop new features and capabilities, and automate business processes. Occasionally the employee will assist with system documentation, legacy data conversion, and testing. As an intern you will gain valuable, real-world experience designing and developing commercial software that is used all over the world!

This position is a hybrid role, and the selected applicant will work with the hiring manager to set schedule.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

+ Participating on the MMIS AGILE Scrum team

+ Creating well designed and usable software

+ Graphical User Interface design

+ Database design

+ Unit and Integration Testing

+ Participating in team retrospectives

+ Providing best-in-class customer support

+ Working with customers to solve problem

This position can be a technical intern based on the candidate's classification as determined by grad year on resume and provided via questionnaire by candidate as outlined below:

+ (Sophomore Technical) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program

+ (Junior Technical) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program

+ (Senior Technical) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program

+ (Post-Graduate Technical) must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications. You Must Have) by start of internship

Basic Qualifications:

+ Must be Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Post Graduate by Summer 2024 in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field

+ Experience developing web applications

+ Problem solving and troubleshooting skills

+ Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Javascript, Python, C++, or C#

+ Experience with relational database management systems

+ Knowledge of design patterns, data structures and algorithms

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience Javascript, Ajax, Jquery and web page development frameworks

+ Experience ASP.NET(Core) and Entity Framework

+ Experience with API development and RESTful services

+ AGILE Software Development Experience

+ Experience with Oracle Relational Database Management Systems is a plus

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
