**PAY RANGE**

The Target Pay Range for this position is $110,900.00-$135,600.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $86,100.00 - $160,300.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. **IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:**

The Software Developer is responsible for writing software according to design specifications, and leading development efforts with junior developers. They are also responsible for designing and coding features, automated tests, and scripts and will also design data models, database scripts and database migrations. This position will create continuous integration builds, and deployment pipelines as well as support production deployments, being on-call to handle unexpected release issues, potentially outside traditional business hours. The Software Developer will recommend technical solutions for business problems, contributing to system and service design. This position will present and contribute solutions to technical leadership. As the software developer you will work closely and learn from other developers, business and systems analysts, and build enterprise class software.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO:**

+ **Create Innovative Solutions:** Use your technical expertise and understanding of software design concepts to develop prototypes and solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.

+ **Identify Improvement Opportunities:** Find areas for improvement in existing code and implement those improvements to drive impactful change.

+ **Collaborate and Provide Expertise:** Work closely with architects and technical leaders to define the team’s technology roadmap and vision, and provide expertise and input to coding standards.

+ **Drive Automation and Process Improvements:** Self-direct to automate and improve business processes and interactions with limited guidance.

+ **Contribute to System Design:** Recommend technical solutions for business problems, and contribute to system and service design to make a significant impact on BECU's journey.

**QUALIFICATIONS:** **Minimum Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline required, or equivalent work experience.

+ Minimum two years of experience designing software and writing production code in a team environment required.

+ Experience delivering highly scalable solutions in multiple programming languages and technical environments required.

+ Expertise in Test Driven Development concepts, methods, and tools. Demonstrated experience in unit testing required.

+ Proficient verbal and written skills to effectively communicate.

+ Experience with cloud technology, .NET, C#, PowerShell, JavaScript/Typescript, Python, SQL required.

+ Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery systems and tools such as Azure DevOps Services, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Teamcity required.

+ Understanding of relational and non-relational data modeling and data analysis required.

**Desired Qualifications:**

+ Experience using static code analysis tools to explain and correct secure coding flaws preferred.
