Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services through planning, building, and operating Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure datacenters across the globe. CO+I is supported by multiple business verticals including supply planning and strategic acquisition, global construction, datacenter and edge site operations, critical environment and availability, engineering, and datacenter innovation.

To help us continue to scale and meet our customer commitments, we’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented **Senior Business Manager** to support the CO+I Americas Region leadership team. As a member of this organization, you’ll have unique visibility into a key Microsoft business and the opportunity to drive impact across the CO+I organization.

You’ll be responsible for leading the organization’s rhythm of business, executive communication and engagement plans, and create/implement business processes and programs to meet strategic objectives and priorities. This is a leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high impact environments and possesses executive presence, stakeholder management, communication, and project/program management skills

This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ.

Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates must relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.

This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 100%.

**Responsibilities**

**Strategic Execution**

+ Drive the development and execution of the rhythm of business and maximize use of the CVP and LT’s time.

+ Drive prioritization and prepare the team for weekly leadership staff, regional leadership and town hall; drive content alignment across teams for executive review.

+ Drive strategic alignment and documentation in partnership with the office of the CVP and the leadership team.

+ Lead special strategic projects and drive measurable results to deliver business impact. Distribute and integrate data analytics and insights to help inform and improve our business strategy.

+ Provide direction and support for org hygiene, culture, and diversity and inclusion initiatives in partnership with HR.

+ Understand and leverage deep knowledge of organizational strategy to effectively plan, adapt, and manage priorities for the leader and organization.

**Special Projects/Programs and Initiatives**

+ Drive cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment and to manage complex business needs. Partner with program and portfolio managers to ensure organization-wide implementation of strategic efforts that require hands-on coordination across multiple disciplines and business organizations.

**Business Management**

+ Develop partnership with the CO+I Chief of Staff, Executive Office, and broader Business Management (BM) Community. Act as an extension of the Executive Office by disseminating appropriate information to leader and organization, connect dots across the business, and share best practices within the BM Community.

+ Monitor organizational health and support the leader in responding to team culture issues, as well as promoting culture initiatives (e.g., Diversity and Inclusion , hiring, onboarding) while partnering with Human Resources to review and respond to team feedback.

**Qualifications**

**Required Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles

+ OR equivalent experience.

+ 6+ years business or program management in a global manufacturing or technology organization.

**Other Requirements:**

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

+ Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

+ Understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Office and other web and communication publishing tools.

+ Creative problem-solving skills, ability to see around corners and ask precise questions.

+ Proficient business acumen and agility to ramp quickly across our diverse business and offerings.

+ Ability to synthesize complex ideas into easy-to-understand concepts for communications. Demonstrated capability in verbal and written communications skills across a geographically dispersed audience.

+ A track record of effectively collaborating across diverse groups, to drive clarity and effectiveness in rhythm of business and delivering projects on time.

+ Enjoy working under pressure and deadlines, with a ability to manage complexity while driving clarity.

Business Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $142,200 - $213,200 per year.
