In This Role You Will:

+ Leads the development of messaging of changes to Vanguard's methodology with respect to financial planning. Partners with subject matter experts to design solutions to meet changing business needs, regulatory requirements, and to position Vanguard's advice ahead of external competitive developments.

+ Serves as a subject matter expert for crew and leaders. Develops and conducts methodology training activities for all crew delivering advice to clients.

+ Serves as an expert on the application of Vanguard's methodology in the development of financial planning strategies.

+ Contributes to overall methodology development of content for both internal and client-facing applications.

+ Develops an expert-level understanding of financial planning strategies and the related legal, tax, and regulatory issues that impact Vanguard's methodology. Supports projects related to financial planning and the personalized value of advice to analyze and research opportunities to enhance client investment strategies.

+ Researches, conducts analyses of and provides recommended changes to wealth planning guidance. Ensures compliance with Vanguard methodology and investment guidelines while applying knowledge of the external business environment and its implications on Vanguard's strategic direction.

+ Supports other pillars within the team with messaging around portfolio construction, products/solutions, and value of advice as needed.

+ Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

What it Takes

+ Minimum of five years related work experience. Three years experience in financial planning, investments and analytics preferred.

+ Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.

+ Completion of Certified Financial Planner(CFP) designation or equivalent certification.

+ Experience presenting complex topics related to personal finance, either in large-scale or 1:1 settings.
