Job Summary
Axiom Care is a Behavioral Health Treatment Organization centered in Phoenix, Arizona, with locations throughout the metro area. Axiom Care focuses on substance use treatment, and justice involved individual programs, with a goal of ending addiction for the most vulnerable. Axiom Care has an on-staff Information Technology department with individuals who are committed to contributing to the company’s mission, vision, and values.
The Systems Administrator is responsible for administrating all key infrastructure systems, as well as the maintenance, reliable operation, and implementation of all Axiom Care computer, network, and software systems. They work to fulfil the department’s mission of empowering staff to provide premier quality patient care through the power of technology. Systems administrators work to continually improve and maintain all systems and actively resolve problems and issues with computer and software systems to limit work disruptions within the company. Regular job duties include working alongside site leadership to continually improve systems that they administrate, planning and implementation of new projects, infrastructure, and software, and working to solve elevated Help Desk issues. The IT Department at Axiom Care has an open-door philosophy, and our Systems Administrators should be always ready and able to help anyone in the company in any way they can.
This is a hybrid work position, the Systems Administrator is expected to be in-office at least 60% of their working hours and may be required to visit various locations throughout the valley, or work in-office more than 60% of the time as the needs of the business suggest.
Duties/Responsibilities
• Administrate all key systems including but not limited to Microsoft 365, Azure, EHR Systems, Cloud PBX, and Call Tracking Metrics.
• Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, networks, network servers, and virtualized environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
• Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
• Assist the Help Desk with elevated tickets.
• Work with vendors to procure equipment, manage orders, and manage systems.
• Prepare and present systems training to staff as needed, in both in-person and virtual settings.
• Implementation of new IT systems, both hardware and software.
• Deployment of complete network infrastructure utilizing a software defined networking environment.
• Develop quarterly goals and project plans to align with company goals, mission, vision, and values.
• Act as Security Officer and HIPAA subject matter expert for company. Perform regular digital risk/HIPAA compliance analysis and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance for both on-prem and SaaS environments.
• 24/7 Emergency contact for major system outage.
Required Skills/Abilities
• Superb problem-solving skills.
• Deep understanding of the Microsoft 365 Administrative Suite and Microsoft Entra.
• Deep knowledge of cyber security and incident response best practices.
• Strong proficiency with working in various operating systems such as Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Unix/Ubuntu Server, and MacOS.
• Proficiency with Intune endpoint management.
• Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
• Deep understanding of CSS and HTML forms. Understanding visual web development is a plus.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and SQL.
• Ability to work with power tools, hand tools, and various hardware associated with IT infrastructure management, maintenance, and installation.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
Education and Experience
• Relevant 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
• 3-5 years of administrating Microsoft 365 and Azure Environments, including Intune endpoint deployments
• 3-5 years of administrating other various SaaS systems and platforms, as well as software defined networking environments
• Experience administrating Electronic Health Record systems is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as COMPTIA Net+/Sec+/A+ and Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, or other similar certifications are a plus.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools.
