**Job Description**
**Summary**
The purpose of this job is to ensure the safe, efficient operation of the El Mirage Transmix processing Facility in accordance with all applicable regulations, industry standards, company policies and plant standard operating procedures.
**Essential Functions**
1. Ensure the ongoing safety of all personnel at the plant, including vendors, contractors, customers, visitors and team members engaged in the a) transportation, receipt, handling, storage, processing, production, measurement and distribution of feedstocks, products, byproducts, materials, process chemicals, etc.; b) operation, inspection, integrity testing, maintenance, repair, upgrade, construction, installation, and decommissioning of all structures, equipment, instruments and control systems; c) quality assurance/control of processes, feedstocks, process chemicals, products and byproducts; d) safety, health, environmental and product regulatory compliance; and e) inventory reconciliation, accounting and reporting.
2. Manage and develop plant management team to ensure a) safe, efficient plant operations; b) plant operating performance meets or exceeds budgeted goals relative to production, operating expenses and KPIs; and c) to develop bench strength for succession planning.
3. Ensure plant operates in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding a) occupational safety; b) process safety; c) asset integrity and maintenance; d) environmental protection; e) hazardous materials receipt, storage, handling, loading, transportation; and f) product quality assurance/conformance with regulatory and industry specifications.
4. Identify, scope, budget, plan, and complete regular maintenance projects (shutdowns) and capital improvement projects to improve safety, production, and/or efficiency/earnings.
5. Ensure plant operations, projects and goals are aligned with Company strategy and commercial goals.
6. Identify and ensure training of plant personnel.
7. Ensure all facility response plans and documents are reviewed and updated in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
8. Oversee on site capital expense projects/improvements as directed by management.
9. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level.
10. Ensure all activities care in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
11. Complete other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent preferred.
+ 5 years supervisory experience required or equivalent combination of experience and education.
**Specialized Knowledge**
+ Basic / Intermediate / Advanced Microsoft Office skills required.
+ Process Safety Management (PSM).
+ Risk Management Process (RMP).
+ Management of Change (MOC).
+ Expert knowledge of chemical or petroleum processing equipment, procedures, and familiarity with refining processes.

+ Manage and lead a diverse team in a 24hr 7 day a week operation.
+ Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
+ Attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Ability to take on and off a SCBA.
+ Have a strong understanding of maintenance and construction activities.
+ Demonstrated ability to apply physics, chemistry, and process logic in an industrial process/production environment.
**Travel**
+ Travel required less than 15%.
**Physical Requirements & Working Conditions**
+ General office work requiring sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
+ Lift up to 50 pounds, able to stoop, bend, and reach.
+ Able to pass pulmonary fitness test, SCBA mask fit test and physical.
+ Able to operate machinery in a safe manner.
+ Available to work long hours as needed.
